Me too. It's in the team's collective head. Over the past 15 or so years we've often been more than holding our own against the 'Big Four' and then it's suddenly as if we don't quite believe it's really happening and collapse. And I'm convinced our abject performance against the Barcodes was in part down to shell-shock from the Scousers nicking a draw at the death.

We've been in with a shout of winning both league games against the Scum this season, we had the better of the first half at the Lane last season, we really should have gone to Cardiff last year; the belief just went at crucial moments and never came back.

But yeah, we can do them.

Right, so they privately admit that they'll play not kids, nor even reserves, but 1st-and-a-half team. Hmmm. Traore, Fabianski, Gallas, Hoyte, Denilson, Diaby and Bendtner seem certain or almost certain to start, but over at arse-mania they don't have much of a clue about the others. Almost every possible combination of their midfield players has been suggested (apart from: Diaby won't play on the right) and Wenger may decide to draft in kids or 4 first team midfielders/strikers.

Right, so their strikers are at least twice as good as ours? They have a centre back who is at least twice as good as Ledley? The other areas I think we're just about better than them. Perhaps their right back is better than ours and they have a central midfielder who is better than one of ours. Other than that, you're talking bollocks. :up:

Independent are reporting that wenger will have a strong bench and will play walcott upfront with Bender with Eduardo on the bench. If thats the case then adebayor wont be there. I know his shit but we are so bad at defending set pieces this tosser is most likely to benefit
