Conte takes us to 8 games unbeaten, and if it wasn't for VAR fucking us, we'd be 1 point ahead of Arsenal in 4th with two games in hand. Can't believe there are people here complaining about Conte. Dude knows what he's doing. The players let him down today but we still got the result and that's all that matters. Another clean sheet too. Great stuff.
I don’t think Conte has done anything wrong, he has inherited this squad. We are unbeaten in eight, but we are woefully short on quality. I hope Levy doesn’t adopt any kind of make do and mend, we still need a big overhaul.

Wow, Watford have had 5 managers since they last managed to keep a clean sheet, and we almost broke that run? We seriously need to improve our away form and breaking down teams.

If Ndombele can't be trusted to play in the last two games, where his strengths are clearly needed, then he needs to go right now. He is one of our highest earners and if Pochettino, Mourinho and now Conte all have issues with his attitude then he is done.

We were so lucky today. Big ref calls went against Watford (how was the Lloris incident not worthy of a second look?) and we didn't do enough to deserve three points.

Is it still on Conte?

It wasn't a good performance. A set-piece goal at the death doesn't change that. Conte would probably be the first to tell you that.

We're allowed to criticise when strange decisions are made. He's a top, top manager and I'm delighted he's ours but that doesn't mean his system doesn't have flaws nor does it mean he's a superhuman.

not been in here as yet today. Watched the game without interruption. Watford's game plan nearly worked. Gritty 3 points. Sooo many games of late plus the Covid. Relieved for the three points.
Move on

Commentators still raving about Watford deserving something. What game were they watching. They did nothing, but sit back.

I hate that, teams that offer nothing and defend with 11 players behind the ball and hoping for 1 or 2 counter attacking chances IMO don't deserve anything. We weren't great but we absolutely dominated them.

Can't believe people are moaning about this, it was the most controlled performance we've put in for absolutely yonks. All it lacked was the most important thing which is of course end product.

Fix the defence and make us hard to beat first. Big tick.

Then bring in some signings and fix the attack. Work very much in progress.

Today was a great big leap forward in my book.

Huge three points but that was absolute dogshit against a team who shipped 4 at home to West Ham just 4 days ago.

Don't want to see those combinations again vs a low block to a lower table side. Hasn't worked for months.

The next couple of games are Arsenal and Chelsea so probably won't be a huge issue as we'll be playing in transition again but going forward we really need to sort out this creativity problem. A proper RWB and actually playing our technical players would be a start.
I still think Royal can grow into his position, agree his crosses were dross.

Winks made a positive difference. He’s knocking on the door for a regular start. We move the ball quicker with him.

Not sure I’d call us lucky, we had 21 shots to their 6 and all the possession. Should have tested the keeper more but we scored the goal, won the game, were the better team.

Move on, and start thinking of better ways to break down teams that will park the bus

The comments in this thread about Conte are so ridiculously stupid. People are blaming Conte, who by the way has now not lost a game in just first 8. Our players were shit before Conte and they are still shit now.

People saying “play Ndombele” when the guy has done nothing to warrant a spot in this side. “Make changes earlier etc etc”. When, for fucks sake, will some of you actually blame the fucking bang average shit players we have.

Conte is without a doubt the best manager we have had since Bill Nic. His record is out of this world and has us 2 points behind 4th with 2 games in hand and yet some in here are getting on his back.

Get a hold of your heads and give them a wobble you bunch of fuck nuggets.
I think his subs in this game and against Southampton are showing who he trusts and who he doesn't.

Time for all the pundits/opposing fans to start saying it’s not fair and Watford deserved something just because they started to play a bit in the second half… It wasn’t pretty, but if this was Liverpool they would be crediting them for grinding out a result.

Our xG was over 2, they were very fortunate that they didn't concede earlier in the game with a number of the saves their keeper pulled off. He's typically dogshit and if he'd played to his normal standard we could have scored three. It may not have been a scintillating performance but we did what we needed to do. Over to Levy now.
