Quality technical players that can pass a football? Is that asking much? Technically proficient footballers, the likes of which Chelsea sign and other top sides. It’s clear as day what the side needs.

And no not Traore, will be another terrible flop and don’t say I didn’t warn you. Serious question marks if FP and Conte look at the side and think he is what we need. He would have added nothing to the team. He would have turned over possession as much as the rest of the side did tonight. We can’t keep the ball, it’s a major problem. Stringing three passes together is our biggest issue.

...and we can't win the ball either!

Frustrates the hell out of me every time we play like that.

I know the goals we conceded were really poor defending, but we were 2nd best all over the pitch. We would have been more competitive I’m sure, but think we’d still have lost comfortably.

They’re just miles ahead of us sadly. Had players missing themselves.

That's what invariably happens when you spend nearly half a billion on players over the past two years.

I think there may be a link there somewhere...

Sorry but I wouldn't necessarily blame Emerson for that. He clearly wasn't expecting such a pathetic half-hearted pass from Tanganga.

.

It was both. It was a bad ball, but Emerson was weak in the challenge...he could of won it

He was horrendous today and for much of the season I really can’t see how NES and now conte keep picking him, what does he do well? He can’t pass particular well, is slow, not great stamina, doesn’t read danger, doesn’t score/create but to be fair he seems like a good guy maybe I could fix him up with my sister or something
He used to be great at reading the game and breaking up play and tackling to win the ball back, but he seems to have forgotten how to do that.

Pleased to see we improved second half. Gives me hope for the second leg. Lets not give in, were not that bad. We missed Dier big time. It left a massive gap at CB with him not being there. At least we know what's needed.

We have one of the best managers around, but if we haven't got the players to turn his tactics into fluent patterns of play, then we won't improve... Decent investment needed now.

Do as you please
It was what the ITK said over there so i kinda hoped it would be true but knew it wouldn't happen with Levy

Anyway, we are off tropic.

Hope we can get some improvement to the weekend
we definitely are off tropic?
but clearly I would like to believe it could happen in the summer ( no way in January) although we would surely have to be in CL as a minimum. I just think he's too hot for our current status though.

The team hopefully will look different V Arsenal
Dier and Reggie back, and Son maybe recovered from Covid
That alone would give us a great chance to beat them
A new player in would be nice, maybe Romero Bergwijn and Sessengnon available too
I've given up on this tie, FA Cup and top 4 now what I'm looking to
We probably won't make either, but you never know..

2-0 is a dangerous score. Chelsea won’t be able to help thinking they’re already in the final. Full house , White Hart Lane, big atmosphere and an early Spurs goal , first 20 minutes and they’ll find it difficult to get back mentally.
I think our names on the cup. Not joking.

Here we go, the body language analysts are out again.
It’s actually gone one step further and it’s the eye emotion analysts this time mate ??‍♂️ next up will be the shoelace tying analysts “that’s it Conte’s shoelaces aren’t as tight as usual, he’s not tied them with as much passion as usual he clearly wants out! “

When I said we should keep Lamela at the expense of Lo Celso I was chastised by most of you. A fit Lamela always turned up in big games. And before you say it, Lo Celso's fitness record is just as bad. This game was crying out for a Lamelaisque performance.

Eary goal.. lol. Have you EVER watched spurs? There will be an early goal, but we won't score it.

You can learn a lot about people when reading body language, just saying.

But i will take the pill and believe everything is fine and that Levy will give the players Conte want

Definitely Tangangas fault.

I'm afraid he was just dreadful tonight. I blame him for the second goal too, to be honest. Where did he think he was heading the ball in the middle of the area FFS. "I was shouting Head it OUT man" but instead he headed it right into Davies body and both men were devastated when the ball went into the net, but it could so easily have been avoided if Tanganga had done what should be every defenders prime objective...to get the ball OUT of the area, whatever it takes!

Conte: at our present level, a semi-final is a good performance.

Curiously, this suggests he understands the situation and will not stomp off in 2 years if we have yet to win anything.
