Why don't you just take a step away from all things THFC until he's gone?

If you dislike him as much as it appears, you're doing yourself no favours by clinging to every word he spouts, or every emotion he shows.

Nobody forces you to do any of this mate.

i don't dislike him at all - i haven;t even been critical of him - but he his having a moan when he has lost 3 games he should be winning its not the time to be having a whinge and feeling sorry for yourself he needs to be positive and get back to winning football matches then he can moan all he wants

If that upsets ya then tough luck

Nail on head.

He has an elite mentality.

The squad, by in large, certainly doesn't it.

It must be immensely frustrating for him.

Huge challenge but he's up for it.

That's why we need to get some older, more experienced players in this summer.

We have a nice core of young players, with some older ones like son, Kane and Lloris but we need 2 or 3 more experienced players who have won titles and major honours to get that winning mentality drilled into the younger players.

I never gave @ralphs bald spot any ultimatum at all.

All I did was ask him why he doesn't take a step back for a while of he's so unhappy with things.

I was trying to be helpful. He's just going to end up feeling even worse if he keeps doing what makes him unhappy.

Sorry you didn't see that.

much as I appreciate your love for my mental health of lack of it i don;t need it -

I am unhappy with losing 3 games to poor to average teams but it don't last that long - the manager needs tor sort that out and fast two big and difficult games coming up and he needs to be positive

I suspect the modern pitches take a toll also?

Haven't read anything or been made aware of anything that insinuates that possibility ( I would probably take the opposing stance that most modern pitches have extended athlete careers given the dedicated teams that manage the pitch) but when we did play ECL games, some other smaller clubs have turf/grass blends that aren't as forgiving as regular pitch surface. Also, COVID is another factor we can't overlook. Players taking longer to recover, working harder to get back to their normal energy output/performance, end up hurting themselves etc.

Have to say some of the best journo Q’s in a pre game presser I’ve seen. Asked all the Q’s that we are all thinking especially Ali golds one at the end and the talk sport guy and mabye moouse at the end?

very interesting answers from conte too.

Should give more clarity and reassurance to some on here:

I, for one, am ecstatic we have a manager who simply will not accept losing.

Yes agree if we can harness his obsession it might change things fundamentally. That's what we must hope. Levy must see it too - he's not stupid. Despite my problems with DL he must be bored of losing and being ridiculed. Conte is his ticket out of that.

Just a few stats for mulling over, from Redknapp to now, have also included a fake manager (post Poch) which is combination of Jose, Ryan, Nuno and Antonio's records so comparison easier.

Win% Premier League
1. Mason (6) 66.7%
2 Sherwood (22) 59.1%
3 Pochettino (202) 55.9%
4 Villas Boas (54) 53.7%
5 Conte (14) 50.0%
5 Santo (10) 50.0%
7 Redknapp (144) 49.3%
8 Post-Poch (88) 48.9%
9 Mourinho (58) 46.5%

Points per Season (average points per game x38)
1. Mason 76.0
2. Sherwood 72.6
3. Pochettino 71.9
4 Villas Boas 69.7
5 Redknapp 66.0
6 Conte 65.1
7 Post-Poch 63.0
8 Mourinho 62.2
9 Nuno 57.0

Think I have solved it. Lets just sack managers very quickly into their reign, and do that say 3 times a season, as our temporary managers have best record

I liked what he had to say today. For me he more or less apologised for his outburst but said this is who I am and it shows I care. I agree with that completely and would much rather that than say a Nuno just sitting there with his arms folded and then grunting answers to questions.
I think he's laid a marker down to the squad that says if you wanna stay at Spurs, work under me and be succesful you better pull your finger out your arse or you'll be walking in the Summer.
I also hope he's had enough of Emerson and Doherty and is gonna try Moura, Bergwijn or Kulu. Its clearly not working and something needs to change.
This fucking club lol. Leicester, Wa hey. Chelsea, ooohhhh shit, Man City, Wa heeyyyyy, Burnley, oohhhhh shit.
Up and down like the Syrian Empire.

He's a world class manager. Give him more than a January window ffs!!!

He fucking should apologise. There's one thing being emotional, but making comments about leaving whilst he knows the media are going to do enough twisting of his words without him having to give them direct ammo was completely irresponsible.

I think he's a fantastic manager, but I'm starting to question whether the continuous circus that comes with him is worth it.
Why dont you wait until he actually has a chance to sort us out before seeing if he is worth it?
We either keep him and see what he can do next season after a summer window, or we get rid of a world class manager and start another wasted season.
This season was fked before Conte got here. If we dont get top 4, which we never expected to anyway, then what difference does it make anyway really? 6th, 7th, 8th, who gives a fk, its all shit.
Klopp took a while to turn Liverpool around and look at them now.
Patience ?.

Just watched Romano's latest video about what happened between Levy and Conte in the meet up.

Basically Levy assured Conte they want him to stay and vice versa.

The additional point is that Conte wants Spurs to not be so passive and already be working at bringing in players now and not July.

I completely agree with him. We need to be getting players to agree to deals in principal and getting those free agents on pre agreememts.

I've often thought that this club does a lot of identifying and scouting but doesn't start making a move until the window opens. If so that needs to change, we can't afford to be passive all the time.

Conte will walk if we wait around

It really is quite fucking clear what is needed. Even if we dont get top 4, we just need to break the bank & put in the equivalent of 150-200m to the squad. We do that & we could be right up there at the head with Conte. And we need to get deals done early. It would be fucking great if Fabio can wrap up Kessie &/or Dybala pre contracts before May’s out to show intent.

"I think the best way is to go straight to the club and tell them your vision. Then sometimes you find that the club matches your vision and it is ok, but sometimes it can happen that maybe the vision could be also different but for many reasons. When this happens, it means that the way goes in a different way no?"
