It really doesn't read like that at all.

Anyway, lots of speculation swirling around...why not just wait to hear concrete news before ruling out, what appears to be, one of our top targets?

Still very early on.. and if he had said no I'm sure we would of moved on.

He's obviously giving the whole prospect some serious consideration.

Perfectly reasonable so a little patience wouldn't go a miss.
And he is due the time to make that decision, it is a big thing to up and move your entire life to another country.

The deal for this is still there surely or we wouldve moved on already.

I imagine in an ideal world he would like do just stay at Inter but its a lot more nuanced than that. Also I cant see anything being done whilst hes on international duty.

My gut feeling is that Inters willingness to sell will be the defining factor. Then he will look at the positive points about moving such as Conte, bigger wages, better league and Stadium etc

I think as there is no football on people are becoming impatient and expecting the deals to be done as quick as the Perisic deal which was a lot easier to get done because he was a free.

I fancy the hold up is more Bremer to Inter. I can't see them sell a big player without a signing first.

This could obviously go either way, but I think we can be sure that the player has doubts about the move. He is young, with a 4 month old child and clearly loves Inter and no doubt living in Italy.

I assume he would have been sounded out many weeks ago, as Perisic was, and Conte would have spoken to him personally, so I am guessing that he has had some time to mull this over and is still uncertain. Maybe he wants to come but his partner doesn't. Maybe he would reluctantly move if Inter pushed but is waiting to see what other options they have to shuffle players and sort their finances. Whatever the case, there are many people involved beyond the player himself.

Clearly he is not as keen as Perisic was, but that is understandable due to the very different personal circumstances and the fact that this would have come out of the blue and is very much not what he expected or planned for the next few years in his career. If he does end up coming I really hope it's because he really wants to, even if it was a difficult decision to reach, rather than his being forced out by Inter.

Seems Inter need money first. I imagine Milan coming into the picture might complicate the Bremer situation

The thing is, from what is to be believed about Inter's financial situation, something has to give and someone will have to leave almost against their will as they all seem so happy to stay there. Is probably why there is still always a chance of this deal happening until Inter outright say a transfer away for Bastoni is off the cards.
I know the uncertainty is reportedly due to Bastoni's lack of desire to move away, but you have to wonder when/if it will get to a point where Inter will have to start trying to force players hands a bit.

? The #Tottenham is very strong on #Bastoni : ongoing contacts with Tinti to find a square on the figures. And with an important offer, #Inter will give the go-ahead for the sale

Very possible this stuff about Bastoni not being totally convinced about moving abroad is just posturing in an attempt to get a contract offer.
Or at least I hope it is anyway

Tinti is Bastoni's agent. This is encouraging. I think this is out of the player's hands and Inter are pushing him out.

Not sure thats encouraging. For 50m you want someone who is up for the challenge and not someone that crys for mama and Inter after few months.

Got to be really tough for Bastoni, I don't think it's an issue with Spurs, more just that he is an Inter boy. Imagine being 22 years old and breaking into the Tottenham team and becoming a regular leading player. It's all you've ever dreamt of and despite any team coming in for you, you're just a spurs fan and player. Think he certainly doesn't really want to leave and probably hadn't even thought about it until it came up now so its just going to take a little adjustment.

Think it is still doable, we just need a little bit of persistence and patience.

He'll be coming to play for Conte and he knows what that's all about and has big respect for him, being up for the challenge won't be an issue here.

I mean encouraging in terms of the transfer happening. But yes, ideally he would desperately want the move.

Worth remembering that Emerson didn't want to leave Barcelona.

Sure but it's very common for a fee to be agreed first and kept on hold until they get a replacement first. It wont go down well if they sell him first.
If Milan get Bremer then I still would expect Inter to get someone else before they let go of Bastoni.
