I'm sure Levy and Kenwright have a good relationship with lots of mutual respect (and hence I wouldn't put it past them to have a friendly dinner together), but yeah, it would be a weird thing to do in the middle of a negotiation.

That's nuts - I'd expect a hefty price tag on Winks and maybe a new deal on Dele to come out in the next financial year if that actually happened. There's be some creative accounting going on to help them with FFP.

I’m uneasy with spending that amount of wedge on those two tbh. Surely there are better players we could spend 100 mill on. Neither are world class and one of them only has around one years PL experience

Not at all. These men & women lunch all the time. It's part of being a football chairman/exec etc.

They're all just normal people doing business. They have working relationships. You can be sure if they've gone for scran, a deal will be struck!

I'm still convinced this is manufactured between the two clubs so we sign Richarlison but they can claim that Gordon isn't for sale.

I don't believe for a second we'd spend over £20m on him.

Maybe we buy before 30th and sell them Winksy next month? Would that make things work for them FFP wise, I'm not 100% on the rules.
