Are we not jumping the gun here a little bit when none of our own ITK's have said we are close on this one or even had a bid accepted.

To be fair they didn’t say anything about Bissouma, sometimes deals are done behind the scenes a bit more and progress so quickly that our resident ITK’s don’t get told and/or they are privy to sensitive information that they would rather not share.

Au contraire, I think the stark lack of any ITK on Monday proves that there has been a lot of movement behind the scenes. We have our nose to the grindstone on this deal.

Additionally -- I think ITK has been late on Bissouma and Kulu under Paratici, no? It seems that when Paratici makes a move, he makes it very quickly and out of the blue.

Not overly, not digging and mean no disrespect but sometimes the ITKs don’t get the ins and outs in every deal, such as bissouma

I reckon it's virtually agreed/done and I suspect we will hear tonight or tomorrow that his set for a medical Friday. I believe it was JJ who said that the media are almost a day or two behind on latest developments.

We’ve been linked with a number of pacey dribbler types. There was Diaz in January, and Saint-Maximim, Raphinha, and Gordon so far this summer. That appears to be the profile of a player that is still on Paratici’s list.
Wonder if we would look at the likes of Jack Harrison and Cornet as alternative options to Gordon. Harrison would be a good replacement for Lucas as he could play LW, RW and LWB imo. Same applies to Cornet although he's not HG. McNeil is another option, although not sure if he's capable on the right.

Intrigued to find out if people believe Richarlison would be enough in the forward positions. Perisic could cover of course, but with Sessegnon's injury troubles we're maybe still a little on the light side at LWB if it's for a long period. Might be worth keeping Troy Parrott or Reguilon around.
I agree. I'd like to sign another player personally. Agree with your comment earlier in the thread that Bergwijn is crazy to leave now. He's going to get gametime!

The quality of a player can be assessed from just seeing how bad the selling club fans take it.... Richarlison - they are grudgingly ok - but If their club also sell Gordon, eggs will be thrown at Moshiri's face

This is gonna get done

Important bits from the article:

Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are in negotiations over several players.

Richarlison, Anthony Gordon, Steven Bergwijn and Harry Winks are all being discussed as both clubs look to accelerate their summer business.

The most expensive of all the players being discussed, The Athletic understands that discussions are progressing and advanced. The latest is that Tottenham are the favourites despite interest from elsewhere, including from rivals Chelsea.

Everton would hope to bring in around £60 million for the sale of a player who scored 10 goals in 30 Premier League games last season. The 25-year-old has two years left on his contract and wants to remain in the Premier League having enjoyed his time in England. He also wants to be playing regularly at the highest level possible before the World Cup in November and December.
From Everton’s perspective, it would be disappointing to lose such an important player but their parlous finances mean a sale would help them balance the books while also freeing up funds for manager Frank Lampard to reshape the squad. This is the first summer for a while when they’ve been actively open to offers for key players, largely due to the losses in previous seasons.

Will Anthony Gordon join him?

Everton’s stance at the moment is that they are not countenancing a double sale.

As The Athletic explained on Monday, Lampard thinks highly of Gordon and wants to build his side around talented, local young players who can connect the team with the fanbase. Gordon, 21, completely fits that profile, and Everton hope that selling Richarlison will be enough to ease the financial pressures that they’re under.

Could Steven Bergwijn be part of a deal for Richarlison?

Everton are interested in signing Bergwijn, who joined Spurs from PSV Eindhoven in January 2020 for a fee of around £27 million.

He will be allowed to leave this summer, but The Athletic understands that if he were to join Everton, it would be a separate deal from the one taking Richarlison to Tottenham. Ajax are still pushing to sign Bergwijn from Spurs, who want to bring in a forward first before they let him go.

In theory, then, bringing in Richarlison should facilitate Bergwijn returning to the Netherlands with Ajax where he will also have the benefit of Champions League football.

But if it drags on then he will consider staying in England, whether that’s with Everton or one of the other two Premier League clubs that are interested.

Should Everton really want to do a deal, they could offer a higher salary than Ajax, and may be willing to go higher than the €25 million (£21.5 million) the Dutch club say is their limit and were confident they would reach an agreement on.

But Everton’s financial strength will depend on sales. Until then, they’re looking at deals similar to the one that sees them poised to bring in centre-back James Tarkowski from Burnley on a free.

Might one such deal be Harry Winks?

Winks still has two years left on his contract so he could still fetch a reasonable fee, but one option that could suit all parties is a loan with an obligation to buy.

Discussions between the two clubs over a deal for Winks are ongoing, but there is a view that this would satisfy everyone. Everton want to minimise their expenditure this summer and Spurs would be guaranteed a fee in a year. As for the player, he would have a far better chance of regular Premier League football. The consensus is very much that Winks will not be at Spurs next season.

His name has been mentioned in the negotiations of the other potential deals taking place, but with Everton keen to make a sale before July 1, they may wait until the financial year ends before pressing forward with the signing of Winks — even if it is initially a loan deal.

Same people who ovelook the fact Jesus has been playing at Man City when they look at his stats and that he'll be moving to a worse team and a worse coach.
What do you mean worse coach? He uses wolf pictures don't you know. Name a bad coach who uses wolf pictures when doing tactics?

Still hope the same happens with Eriksen as well ?

We don't know how much info they have, but frankly it's not their duty to supply us with every minutiae for every negotiation, especially when so much of it is sensitive/confidential. Have to just appreciate anything they can share.

Anyway, there seems to be an awful lot of smoke around this Richarlison deal... I reckon a deal is pretty close.

I don't think much (if anything at all) leaks from our side at the moment. Look in the Bissouma thread - no credible links/ reports of interest whatsoever, the only ITK we had said that it wasn't happening... then out of nowhere it was fee agreed & medical scheduled.

I don't think the scarcity of info coming from our own journos & ITKs in any way suggests it isn't happening - it just seems to be the way the club is operating these days.
