The optimist in me says maybe it could be a tactic to convince supporters it was better to sell just Bastoni rather than 2 defenders..

The pessimist in me says they’ll sell 2 of those 3, which is obviously most likely.

Probably not much longer to wait for a conclusion now.

I think they'll get £25m for Dumfries. I wonder if we'd be interested if we finally gave up on Bastoni.

De Vrij would be a sub £10m fee apparently so probably be better off keeping him to avoid further disruption.

I tell you what, that is an astute use of a meme, I've seen it used before in other mediums but it's use on transfers is unheard of and truly a masterclass of creativity in repurposing a classic, the likes of which this world has simply not seen.

I reckon the moneys on the table for Inter. If they don't sell bastoni to us we pull the trigger on Lenglet and Bremer.

Skriniar and if PSG or Chelsea won’t offer them enough then Bastoni or Lautaro. Lautaro could still be a sleeper option for them as Dybala could replace him without the need for a transfer fee. On a side note I wouldn’t listen to the players agents much at this point, they will all say the same thing.

Personally reckon we have a deal on the table for him, Inter would prefer to sell others. Push comes to shove and they will move him on.
if we can’t get him we will push the button on Lenglet and Bremer most likely.
