Many people have mentioned they would prefer Maddison over Zaniolo, but if Maddison isn't possible to do then surely getting this guy in (as long as Conte wants him) is preferable to a summer spent trying and failing. If it was as simple as pressing a button and JM became a Spurs player I reckon most of us would prefer that... but in reality it's nowhere near that simple and might not be possible at all.

Personally I know nothing about this guy. The injury worries seem a genuine concern but isn't that the point of a medical? We identify if there is a serious underlying problem and pull the plug if we find one.

At the right price I think I'd take the risk, but a paid two year loan with an option at the end sounds like a good compromise.

Isn't the maximum loan period now a year? Or did I dream that.

But yeah a loan option could work out quite well for us, allows us to see how he can adapt to the PL. Assuming we stick a mandatory fee in there.

Permenantly injured? He played 42 games last season.

I wouldn't say I'm necessarily for this signing, but lets not start spouting rubbish.

I was responding to a post on page 19. Up until then it’s what everyone was saying. Only in the subsequent pages was it revealed he’d played a lot last season. I was only going by what was said in the thread and have to go by others more educated opinions on the player up until that point.

A loan sounds sensible if possible.

Kulu has a 2 year loan, option at end of 1 with a lower price than year 2

Mate if we all just sit there and clap every decision the club and manager makes then we may aswell just close the forum down because all debate is stifled.

You can not like a player the club are looking to sign, be underwhelmed whatever, and at the same time support the player if he does come in.

For me at least, any signing we make is generally exciting. When you look at some PL clubs not even making a single signing this summer, you realise how lucky we are, truly. So it's all relative. Would I be excited if we were to bring in Zaniolo, ultimately yes? I think all of us get excited by any signing really, but compared to other targets we've been linked with, it doesn't at first glance seem the best option we have been linked with, at least to some of us.

Nah, its back conte, but also have a debate about footballers and their relative abilities/fitness, because the bloke isn't some god with zero mistakes in his managerial career, plus a football forum with no discussion is fucking boring..

maybe not hashtag worthy, but still...

I personally have little to no first hand opinion on the player, but its crazy to suggest Tottenham/Conte/any club/any manager has never made a questionable decision.

Yeah it was a mistake. In retrospect it was always going to get jumped on by someone.

I’ll be surprised if Levy signs off on a player with such an injury record as a permanent transfer anyway. I think there’s a lot of running before walking on this one.

If he's played 42 games last season I would think he is over his injury concerns and how played last season is even less of a concern to me as we've seen the Mourinho affect first hand

If Conte believes that he can become one of the very best. Then I fully back it.

I agree fully with the he's been mismanaged and not developed properly. It can stifle any players development. Conte would drill him down and give him new focus and nurture that talent and turn him into an absolute beast. He has shades of dembele for sure. He carries the ball well and is an absolute unit. He's definitely built for the prem, you don't always need silky and skilful players, when you can have a brute and a powerhouse running through you instead.

Another point, everyone here is worried about injuries and if he can last a whole season. This is a squad game now, he wouldn't be expected to play every game, so his minutes would be managed properly, so u don't see any issues there at all.

Loan with option I believe.
This I could live with. My concern is the injuries but on loan reduces the risk.
I really hope this happens. I think he could be a real sensation.

Even if Ndombele doesn't want to go to Roma, I'm sure Jose likes Lo Celso as well so hopefully he's part of conversations to make the deal happen.
Has Ndombele been linked with a move to Roma? I can't see Jose being interested.

Could do with losing a bit of weight/muscle and it might help him with those injuries. Skilful though, I’ll give him that.
In a nutshell...this

I feel he's lost some of the acceleration, and consequently threat, with the extra weight/muscle (I couldn't tell you which) he's gained.

If he can feasibly manage that (many people can't) then there's potentially a really good player there. If not, I would have concerns

A loan with an option is good because if it doesn’t work out it would allow us to pursue Maddison further down the line for a cheaper fee.
