I doubt Maddison would be any easier to do ?

Yes, but it's the psychological factors in play.

Maddison is proven in this league and hasn't had those huge injuries.

Yes I know he played all season for Roma but when you're talking about big money it's hard not to feel edgy given the extent/seriousness of his previous injuries.

Ultimately I hope we get who Conte wants but sometimes it's not as simple as that and compromise and some pragmatism have to come into the reckoning.

If he is the one Conte really wants above any other in this position, then I see him as being rather obtainable if we push

Actually got warmed up to the thought of getting him. Think he could have done well for us competing and rotate with Deki.

Perhaps it’s for the best. I was a bit concerned as to how his ACL’s would manage against Romero in the “Friendly”

Paqueta really isn’t that good.

Maddison would be a fantastic addition but can’t see Leicester selling unless we spend £60m plus.

I’d like to see us go for Michael olise, would be HG and is such a talent.

I think he would cover the rw and am options.

Seeing as I was very anti signing Zaniolo, I went off and tried to find some underlying stats to try and convince myself I was wrong. (Have watched him play loads fyi)

And although the vast majority of stats were still pretty damning, one thing that showed up is that he’s definitely verybstrongwhen it comes to progressive carries and shot creating actions.

These are the two stats that players like Adama Traore and Allan Saint-Maximum tend to strive in, and we’re well aware that Paratici seemingly has a huge desire to add this type of player to the squad.

One very worrying stat that I highlighted though is his miscontrols, which puts him in the top worst percentile in the top 5 leagues.

Oh yeah, especially pre ACL he was a dynamo. There are certainly a lot of positives to his game. He’s got beastly ball carrying capabilities and can be a one-man counter attack, and is strong and able to change direction while remaining upright and riding challenges.

The problem is as shown, his 1v1 take on rates are high but it’s a poor percentage even at that volume. He isn’t an elite 1v1 player and routinely dribbles when he should pass, plus he no longer has that truly top end pace and agility post surgery.

but it does show a clear archetype Conte wants, the counter attacking ball carrier and progressor.

Olise is a great player but I don't think he'd be available. I like Paquetà though

Yeah Olise would make sense. Paqueta should be tearin it up in Lyon and Ligue 1 but disappeared once Guimaraes left for Newcastle. Mood player that would not fit the Conte player type. If he goes to Newcastle or Arsenal it will be fun watching two of our players nullify him easily.

Olise and Spence……would love to see that! I think Olise will shine this season, can’t see CP letting him go, although I’m sure there was mention of a 35mil release clause? Bit steep? I would be happy for that price, although it’s not my money! ?

On top or all of the other reasons, I wouldn't be surprised if him being Italian comes into play and, like so many of his compatriots, he's reluctant to leave his home country to play abroad.

There are rumours he's got a £35m release clause.

I've wanted Olise since I saw him at Reading, think he's got what it takes to go to the top.

I imagine though that at 35m, Conte may feel he can spend a little more to get someone who has been there and done it, or at least performed to a higher level. They may feel Olise would need a bit of work.

Yeah - I think we (meaning "Conte") will be looking for a more established player.

I do like Olise's potential though.
