My worry re Arsenal is that despite how good they’ve been this season, they’ve actually got places that they can easily upgrade. Xhaka has improved but if they get Rice they’ll be even better. And Holding is dogshit, imagine if they’d had a top class defender to replace Saliba when he’s injured. And they can upgrade on Nketiah too if Jesus is injured. Basically their spine.

I’d hate it if Rice went there. He’s such a good player, I’d love him at Spurs. Alongside Bellingham. And Maddison. Just ahead of Gvardiol. 👀
Except they've already replaced Holding, failed to sell Xhaka previously and now cannot sell Nketiah because he now earns too much to go anywhere else.

Just need to wait for the press to link Saka to Man City and they can deal with that every summer then, about how he needs to move to a better club.

They are linked with Cancelo from City now, can't see City selling to them again surely?

Yup. They got themselves to the position where 2-3 big purchases a year improves them hugely, just go massive on a RW rotation (which they are), xhaka upgrade like rice which they are and then I think they’ll see if balogun is good enough who’s out on loan to rotate with Jesus and then another Cb. 200-250m and they’ll be very very strong. Annoying.

They don’t need to sell those players, they’ll sell others. They spunk 200-250m now they have champs league,

Probs will if they pay the money. City don’t care.
Saka still hasn’t signed a contract and neither has saliba. Gotta hope city go big for Saka, put 150m offer in and saliba goes to psg

Hmmm not sure tbh. Nketieh they gave a 100k a week contract to a year ago. Think he's going to be very hard to offload.

I also remember seeing that all the money they'd already spent was basically a hail Mary to get ucl and so that money had already been factored in. There was an article in the Times recently saying they had 150m including sales to spend in the summer which is basically the norm for a top 4 club these days. They aren't suddenly going to be dropping 250m.

For example a few of my arsenal friends think Rice is basically off the table now. West ham are (fairly) demanding 100-120m, and they just won't spend that much.

On top of all this their squad needs alot of the depth improved given UCL. They got away with playing Fabio Viera, Tomiyasu, Holding, Cedric, Reiss-nelson, nketieh in the europa games and they just won't be able to do that and get out of the group this time.

I think saliva will go. They haven’t even been able to get him to sit down to talk about a new contract unlike the other players.

I think the fans of the mega clubs like Barca and Madrid will be drooling at the prospect of him joining their clubs.

Not a good look. Turned a blind eye to this despite knowing about it for over four years. They’re good at turning a blind eye to the reprehensible elements in their team too.
