I don't see this being at all a distraction this season. Do players really lose focus because a player might leave in the summer? I always found the obsession over it strange with Conte too. The players just focus on the season they're currently playing and not what may or may not happen the following season. It's more the fans who bang on about it and the media than anything the players pay attention too.Personally don’t think you can underestimate the potential negative and disruptive influence it will have on the entire season either. Especially the type of manager and person ange seems to be. A first half of the season with constant talk of pre contract agreements. A second half of the season (assuming he doesn’t sign a pre contract) of kane this, Kane that, Tottenham will be f*cked etc.
I would be seriously concerned about that affect should we get through the summer with no real decision.
Just don’t think there is a way round it either - the two options are - he signs this summer and commits or we cash in
I really think to give Ange and the team the best possible chance we at least have to be decisive - however painful, it could be a whole lot worse over the next 12 months and then where he decides to go next……..
spot on mateWhen you take the emotion out - it makes sense. Life is full of compromise.
Spot onWe have much more chance of replacing him with 100m than next season for zilch, I can't see him signing a new deal and least this means he isn't scoring against us
Surprised he seems to be interested in going abroad but probably no clear options here and they are a huge huge club
Lol that actually really tickled me!You wait until January when we buy him again
Except it wouldn’t be zilch. It would be our usual available funds. Hopefully supplemented with the future revenue from CL qualification as a result of keeping him Around. And the growing commercial income from other stadium usage. We have much more chance of replacing him with 100m than next season for zilch, I can't see him signing a new deal and least this means he isn't scoring against us

If you take the emotion out of it, what is there to care for about football? When you take the emotion out - it makes sense. Life is full of compromise.
So if he goes we'll need air conditioning?I never thought we'd cope when Bale left, the same went for Modric, yet we did and hot better.
For my own sanity can someone please link me to somewhere which confirms this is 100% the case. I don't think I've heard about it anywhere officially and the media are still referring to "top 4" for Champions League.I am convinced Kane will leave this window... IF Bayern offers a 80m package.
5th place qualifies for CL. So there's a slightly better odds than usual top4. But more importantly, if Kane goes to PL rival, that basically ruins us our chances in every competition every year till Kane retires.
So, We HAVE to control where Kane ends up. And thats only possible this window. If Kane is not going to sign a new deal, we have to sell him now to Bayern and make the best of it.
If rumoured target is Jonathan David, I would be absolutely delighted - been beating his drum for 2 years now as a potential Kane replacement. Ofcourse, he cant match Kane in every way. But he is the most realistic target we can get who can play alongside likes of Son & Richarlison and 'score and assist' 25+ in league
My boddddyyyyy my boooddddddy’s telling me yessss. My heart says no but…
Not a fair response from myself.I never thought we'd cope when Bale left, the same went for Modric, yet we did and hot better.
I just don't think their are too many options in this countryWould be the wrong decision moving to German with one year left on your contract in my opinion.
He must have told us he’s definitely not going to sign a new deal If we are agreeing to sell him at the “right” price this summer.
According to this. We made £90m by getting to the CL

But people think we’d be willing to park with Kane for circa £80m.
I’d suggest we have a significantly better chance of qualifying for CL next year with Kane in the team and therefore the potential windfalls that come the following season.
Therefore, I’d rather have him next season and bank on top 5 and then he either goes on a free or (please god) signs a new contract
