He would be mad to stay! This club has no ambition as long as we are under Enic. Look what arsenal are spending after finishing 2nd. I said will be left behind by them after they finished above us.

those who think Maddison was good business, but I see it more as levy trying to get the cheapest deal possible. Our free transfer screwing over teams like shakter whose country are at war, the man is cold. We are also in desperate need of CBS and yet we only might get one. Why? I’m pretty sure we have the money for both, but levy being levy will do the bare minimum only. Yet he might give him self maybe a nice pay rise or bonus.

a leopard never changes it’s spots and levy will never change. Good luck to Ange I’ll be singing your name, but I feel he’s going into a losing battle.

kane needs to go to an ambitious club. He’s a legend in my eyes and nothing he does now can tarnish his legacy. Good luck to him!

I hope levy will prove me wrong and we will get the players we really need, and spend a bit of cash, but I’m not hopeful. I’ve seen this too many times, and Antonio said the same thing. Let’s just see how this plays out. I hope I can eat my own words as I love this club, and I want to see it competing at the top level.

It’s my opinion and I’m entitled to it. If it’s shit to you how about backing it up with some facts? To prove me wrong!
Not going to lie I stopped reading at:

"those who think Maddison was good business, but I see it more as levy trying to get the cheapest deal possible."

Literally everyone on here, in the media, and who I've spoken to in person agrees that was a fantastic deal. How very dare he sign a quality player in a position we are lacking for a decent fee.

Yes it’s good business but it’s levy who probably ended up dictating the price like he always does. I read Leicester we’re looking for 50m but had to drop the price due to them desperate for funds. Top clubs will pay top dollar and what the clubs ask, but not levy.we just took advantage of them as they were in a vulnerable position just like we took advantage of Shakter aswell. Where as West Ham wanted 100m for Rice and arsenal paid what they wanted. This is why we always end up with option B because levy doesn’t want to ever pay for option A unless it’s on his terms and his price.
Give it a fucking rest. This isn’t the tread for this kind of bullshit. Take your belly aching to the Enic out thread or whatever it’s called now. Nobody else is interested.

Yeah I wasn’t a fan of the deal - but he was exactly what we needed. And now I can’t wait to see him play. It was a good deal for the club.

You think you've read it all on here, and then along comes saving £10m on the asking price for James Maddison is a bad thing, because it's not Billy Big-Bollocks enough

gave you a “here we go” rating simply because it’s the only one you were missing.

The big problem with opinions is that people believe they are allowed to make shit ones without being questioned on it.

Dressing up a shit statement as “opinion” doesn’t make it any less shit nor any more valid.

First - we don't have a better defense yet. We have not upgraded yet, and we don't know how any new players will adapt to a new league, nor do we know how Ange will adapt to the defensive requirements of the PL.

Second - We are transitioning to a new style of football - traditionally, that takes time for any team to adopt to a new style/philosophy. A slow start would not be shocking.

Third - we are easily behind City, Liverpool, and Arsenal right now. Maybe if things fall right we are on a similar level to United, Newcastle, and Chelsea - but we would have no margin for error. We need top-5, which means we need to be better than 2 of those teams. Are you willing to bet £80M that we will finish ahead of two of those teams this season - with a new manager?

Fourth - we are not rich enough to piss away £80M. The only teams that can do that have owners that don't care about money. We are not one of those teams.
Just sheer negativity. Very depressing.

dont know where people get these crazy numbers for champs leauge money

You are forgetting to add the income from the home games which is 6 games if you make it to the SF. We make around 1M just on food and drink each home game. It’s a while since I was a season ticket holder there but I think nowadays the European games are not included in the ST price so that 60,000+ punters buying tickets.

I missed the ‘facts’ in your original post. Which as you have pointed out, is merely opinion, to which you are entitled.

There are no guarantees either way , it's not as if we know that if kane stays we get this 50m to 200m from CL, likewise if he goes we definitely dont
