These two, plus Romero leaves? Where would he go? Obviously a place he can challenge. But aren’t Juve in a spot of bother this season?

Napoli? Been told they apparently lost a very good Sough Korean defender to a certain team in Munich for a fair bit of money. Assume they’d be searching for a high quality replacement.

id like him to stay. But if he wants out and the price is right, and Ange is fine. I’m all for it. Only if we bring in a third, more experienced CB to replace him.

Selling Romero is absolutely absurd. World class defender.

Ideally we ship out Sanchez, Tanganga, Davies, Dier and Rodon and bring in Tapsoba and VDV. With no Europe I think we could get by with 3 CBs in a back 4; but if there’s no interest in Dier he could be the CB4.

That would be suicide, 3 CBs and 1 LB assuming you also get rid of Sess and Reggie? Nothing wrong with keeping Davies and Dier for depth.

Totally agree, selling Romero strikes me as gross stupidity. By far the best CB we have and up there with the very best, we should be looking to build a top group of quality CBS including Romero. Pure folly contemplating moving him on.

I don’t know if we sell Romero - but my impression of Ange is -“if you don’t want to be here, we are happy to move forward without you.”

There seems to be a fair bit of speculation that Romero wants out but I ain't so sure, I have no doubt he was pissed off at the end of the season but he weren't alone in that, we all were but the last four weeks have rekindled some optimism so it may well have reached him too. After all the shit since he came in why would he walk now when it appears things may just be looking up.
Bringing in Tapsoba and/or Van de Ven may be just what he wants.

I think it was in relation to Ndombele in yesterdays conference when he said something like “I don’t even know if he has made the decision to stay I don’t know if he wants to”

I imagine it’s basically like that with everyone. I’m imagining him getting everyone together telling them what’s what and saying anyone who’s not up for it knows where the door is.

Romero VDV tapsoda dier

Royal Davies can cover and we also have young Matthew Craig coming through

Porre undogie again with Davies and Royal battle for full back places

Sell Sanchez, Rodan , tanganga pericic. Sessengon is injured and likely to be out for months so won’t include selling him just yet .

that would be enough to see us through the season with no Europe and has a decent amount of quality for Ange to play with

This club make a lot of ridiculous/stupid decisions.

Selling Romero would certainly add to that list.

Selling Romero is a stupid decision, if he wants to stay & fight for us but we want to sell him
Selling Romero isn't a stupid decision, if he wants to leave and/or he isn't showing much interest

Didn’t say get rid of Reguilon or Sess. I would keep both this window given Sess’ injury and Udogie’s inexperience at this level and in a 4back. if we can’t shift Dier would keep him as CB4 as stated.

Think Micky could play some LB too, if badly needed

Romero was overall absolutely awful most of last season. If he isn’t committed to us and those are the sort of performances he will be putting in I’d be completely fine with selling him. If however he is committed to the cause and would be putting in the sort of world class performances he’s capable of it would be absolute madness.
Only Romero knows which one it’ll be, Postecoglu is more than capable of inspiring him to be the latter but if he wants to leave it won’t matter much.

Currently our best CB but not bullet proof. Turned in some absolute trash last year but who wouldn't playing alongside our other CBS. Needs to focus more this year and start playing for the team and do the things that make him good.

Wouldn't be surprised if he wants out after winning the WC and having some demand.

I would be perfectly ok with VDV and Tapsoba as a starting partnership, if selling Romero covered Tapsoba £+
Excuses for the shambles around him can be made but Tapsoba looks a more consistent performer right now

VDV is going to have to learn a new CB pairing so it could easily be with someone else new to the club.

Two good CBs to replace the one is a step forwards.
Clearly we are not signing both, keeping Romero to rotate in the three, not start, wait for an injury. We are not the winning doped team to keep three happy.
We do need the depth for injury and suspension of course so but that may be for another window realistically.
Sanchez, Tanganga to move on.
Davies stays as a very good pro.
Dier to go if we have a third CB.

I am getting increasingly frustrated at him not wanting to play the games couple weeks leading to Internationals, I aslo think he could be a liability in a 2
