We’re still an absolute mess until proven otherwise. Yes, we have started to rectify things and we’re on the right track. But let’s be honest. The most likely scenario this season is that it will be a transitional season.

Kane is entering the twilight of his career and like all other players at his level he’ll want to play in a club that competes on all fronts. It won’t be enough that we’ll play ”fast attacking” football in my opinion.

Personally I don’t believe Kane has any intention of signing a new contract.
I agree. My response was to a comment suggesting we should have offered Kane a bumper contract two years ago rather than now and that is what I am calling moot ie a contract was no more likely to be signed then than it is now i.e. effectively zero chance.

Why he would want to go to some tin pot German league I really don't know.

Would rather go to Paris at least the food is decent not curry sausages and pork knuckle morning noon and night. Winning the leagues mean about the same, nothing.

It’s common knowledge that Harry lives on his own apart from Kate and the kids when he is in training and lives with them during his downtime of which if he stays with us he will have less midweek matchdays in the coming season.
Apart from international duties of course
I thought Kate had him on night feed duties and doing the school run

I don't believe he wants to go to Bayern. Knowing Levy will not negotiate with PL teams, I think his people are using Bayern to negotiate the fee after which the PL clubs he really wants to join will swoop in and try to deal with Levy!!

He's obviously indicated he would go there or they wouldn't be coming out with all this crap in the media.

Also just because we agreed a price with Bayern doesn't mean it would be the same for Man United. They are a direct rival in the same league.

If I was Kane I would have said no to Bayern from day one. Then let Levy decide if he's willing to let me go for free or sell me to a prem team.

If he goes on a free next summer he pockets 60m himself.

Re this need to win a trophy, you ain’t winning anything if your team mates aren’t good enough but is it really that fulfilling if you’re winning surefire trophies every year. In fact it’s a failure if they don’t win.
Surely it’s much more fulfilling to win something when your team aren’t odds on or an individual trophy like the golden boot or being the leading goal score of all time.

Would imagine Mbappe throws a spanner in the works, given he’s a bigger name, younger, and PSG seem to want him out.

Unfortunately that is not the way it works. In football people say all sorts to the media and do the opposite. It is in Kane's camp's interests to make Bayern feel they have a realistic chance so that they keep pushing to get a deal with the club. I do agree that there will be a premium for any English club but at least the Bayern price if they manage to agree one will give them a figure to work from which they would not normally have. Without Bayern, Levy can pluck any figure out of the air for any PL clubs that make an approach .

I don't get it either but it seems the vast majority seem to think there's merit in winning one horse races or picking up trophies at financially doped clubs.

I think a big part of the issue for Kane is he's around an England team of players bragging about winning titles. Even Rice in the latest round of England games has one now. Then you have media constantly bringing it up and former players. It's been dirlled into him that he has to win something.
