We've been waiting for a decent cb for years now though.
It would be foolish to not prioritise the position before the season actually starts, in my opinion, especially as there are good options available now.

How long are you prepared to wait for?
It looks like we are considering a number of different players - or rather we haven’t settled on one specific individual as yet, so there’s no need to go all in right now. And this will be a four year commitment (minimum), so panicking over a lost couple of weeks now makes zero sense.

Yeah, don't get me wrong obviously I'd be so happy, never seen my team or country win anything.

You wouldn’t have this issue if you were a Liverpool supporter. The Republic of Liverpool fans’ saw their team and their country win the champion’s league in the same night.

Had to check it out, public announcement in 1993, on Japanese market in 1994.
Blockbusters definitely older though.
I was under the impression Blockbusters opened in the early 80’s and I just checked and it’s in fact the late 80’s and I thought ‘Wow, what a difference’.

No need to stress yourself out over transfer dealings brother. If Harry goes then we’ll obviously sign some players but we have 0 control over what’s going to happen in the next month.
I think we should be signing some players (cb's) without the need to sell Kane.
It's the bare minimum we should be doing, when we look at the squad and the sale of Kane should have nothing to do with strengthening that position.
If it does, ir goes down as another failure for DL in my book.

I can’t wait for Harry to get to Bayern and see the giant mural of all their logos over the years.

“Hey, what about during the years 38-45?”
Bayern: “oh uh, we don’t talk about that”

Speaking of murals, do we now paint over the one we've just painted of him?
He was there with his entire family, sticking their handprints on it while scheming of heading to bloody Germany.

Lesson...wait til a player has retired before painting a bloody great mural in their honour.

I mean, I know hes been a great servant and all that but if he does bugger off now, a couple of months after it was painted, it's rubbing salt into the wounds of the fans who will walk past it every matchday.

Yeah I fully agree, I didn't really get the whole mural thing for a player still playing and could've quite possibly left/will leave.

It'll most likely be painted over or local youths etc will just graffiti over it.

Paint Greavsie on it, least he won something with us.

I'd forgotten about it til just now and I'll apologise in advance because I've had a few bevvies today but that's just really pissed me off.
Dragging the whole family down, smiling for the cameras and all the while planning to piss off in a few weeks time?!
I hope some local youths draw a massive penis on his head!

Ledders deserves a mural and I think we should paint over the Kane one with Mabs, another proper club legend.

Spotted a young lad yesterday in his new jersey with Kane on the back. No older than 10.

I remember how i felt when Ginola left. I cried for days. I was 11.

That poor kid I saw yesterday is going to be heartbroken. And his folks are going to need to get him a new kit.

It'll be a sad day when he goes. A shame that it ends without him lifting a trophy. A shame for him that he probably won't break Shearers record. He could have done it in the next 2 seasons, be it here or somewhere else in the PL. It would hurt seeing him break it elsewhere but I'd still feel a sense of pride if he did break it. The guy has scored an outrageous number of goals for this club, become our record scorer, and given everything.

I don't think he wants to leave but he's probably right to leave now. This is his 4th manager in 4 years. That's not stable for any club. Not conducive to progress which is all hes ever wanted. We've stagnated since we left the Old Lane unfortunately. Im not sure even finishing 4th last season would have been enough to appease his desire for progression.

If this is to be it, fairwell Harry. Thank you for everything except your brother and your behavior two summers ago. Go win a Ballon D'or and come back for Shearers record in a couple years time. At Spurs.
My 8 year old nephew loves Harry Kane. I got him a shirt last year and he chose Kane for the back (though it was a tough choice for him between him and Son). Not looking forward to telling him when Kane goes! Maybe I can peel the letters off and put Son on the back 😅

A lot of grownups embarrassed themselves a couple of years ago when Kane tried to engineer a move to City. That time is coming around again, as more and more people take personal offence to his upcoming move. And circle the wagon about how Spurs is such a winning choice of team to follow.

Alas, we're the purgatory team and you might as well embrace it. (y)

And the scenes when he ends up moving, but not overseas...

You are joking yet it is totally true, in Munich there is Jewish museum from centuries back till this day missing two periods one is Second World War and other Munich olympics. Not going to elaborate why but you are spot on

Imagine having an unassailable (in your lifetime) record with Spurs, the Premier League and England in terms of goals. While playing for your boyhood club. How the fuck is an inevitable trophy at a club in the Bundesliga (who wins whether you’re there or not) more fulfilling? Especially when in the next 5 years you will have the opportunity to win a trophy at a club where you would be celebrated for generations for that achievement. Who gives us a fuck in 10 years time If you were a cog in part of a machine that wins a trophy at City or Bayern or PSG? It would have happened with or without you. No one will remember you for it. Will someone really be taking about a Nathan Ake or Quinton Fortune in 20 years 🤷‍♂️

Do the proper thing, Harry. Stick with Spurs and be a legend.

Without stating the obvious (but I will), it really comes down to one of two scenarios. This assumes Harold won't extend his contract, of course.

1- We take the money and run by accepting Bayern's offer.

2- We have him for one more season and he leaves on a free at the end of the season and - in all likelhood - ends up playing for one of our rivals.

I know which scenario I would prefer.

#####Big clue; it ain't number 2.:poop:
