100% opinion, but I don't think people should get their hopes up about us reinvesting the money.

The '100m last summer' was a loan that allowed us to get Richarlison and eventually Maddison in as Kane's replacement in aggregate.

I reckon we'll go in for Orban and another CB at around 60m total and thats it. And then whatever happens with the hojberg situation.

It’s still weird to me that no one but Bayern came in for England’s record goal scorer, World Cup golden boot, three time premier league golden boot, and previous premier league playmaker of the year winner. It must bug the fuck out of him, too.
The reality of the market is there are only three clubs outside of the EPL that can pay the 100m+ fees (PSG, Real and Bayern). Once you determine you’re not selling to an EPL team the market is pretty thin.

We've still got to pay for Porro and Kulusevski as well.

Fati & Schuurs, got to hope Ange is a miracle worker if they are the two we bring in. Both decent players, but they're just that.
I like Schuurs, he could compliment VDV nicely also quick and good ball player and young and obviously both Dutch so could be like Toby & Jan again.

Fati I have concerns about his knee injury and complications and hamstring injury, we could be signing another Lamela here… although last season he was barely injuried only missed 2 games.

He is however primarily a LW.

He is a 1 in 3 goal player and is only 20 so lots of potential but seems a little odd as we have Son, Perisic & Solomon.

I suppose the thinking could be that Solomon can cover RW & LW and Son and Richy cover ST with Veliz the back-up.

Id rather Orban and a RW but let’s see if they are the 2 we go for… I really trust Ange essentially overseeing the rebuild so am still optimistic even if others aren’t as much.

Going slightly against the grain here but I do believe we will spend a good chunk. Lloris & Hojbjerg are also close to leaving and then we need to shift 4/5 more to trim the squad. Who we will bring in I'm not 100% sure, but Levy will know the pitchforks will be out if he doesn't act very quickly. There is no way he doesn't bring in a couple more by UTD, otherwise the atmosphere could be toxic in our opening home game of the season.
How many times have the pitchforks been out at this stage. They don’t give a fuck what the fans think once they’re making money.

Personal hope is that he breaks all kinds of goal scoring records over there but Bayern still miss out on the Bundesliga and get dumped out of CL early. Call me selfish but I don't want our top players to see people who leave suddenly mop up trophies as it just adds incentive for others to do the same.

The King is dead..... long live the King.

Why are you setting yourself up for disappointment.

We've made our good cb signing in VDV, any further cbs will be back up (Lenglet/Tosin level).

No way we're buying a top winger.

And our cm is stacked.

We just signed a striker, and we bought our Kane replacement last year.
How depressingly correct.

A 22 year old with one good season, expected to sort out our defensive problems. With likely a player (lenglet/tosin) that will be left taking squad places for years to come.

And a £60m “goal scorer” that scored 1 PL goal last season and has never scored more than 13 PL goals in his career.

I wouldn't be surprised if the signings are underwhelming but I would be very surprised if Levy only spent 60m - that's just asking for it.

My guess is we'll spend around 90-120m but some of that will be covered by the sales of Hojbjerg, Sanchez etc.

Operation Kane:

Haggle with Bayern for weeks to get the absolute highest price for selling Kane.

Haggle with selling clubs for weeks to get the absolute lowest price for their players.

Kane has given us so much over the years’

Fuck off.

We gave him the chance to develop as a youngster.

We gave him the opportunity to play football for a living and get paid very, very well to do so.

We found opportunities for him to go out and develop his craft when he got older.

We gave him the chance to play on the biggest stages, against the best teams and in the most prestigious competitions in the world.

We provided the platform for him to develop a profile high enough to secure huge commercial deals which alone have made him more money than most of us would see in fifty lifetimes.

We let him have his say on club operations.

Let’s not forget that he is where he is in life because of THFC, not despite it.
This was the post I would love to have made. Well done - best post in this entire thread. How many of us would love to have been born blessed with the physique and skill of Kane? How many of would love to have had the opportunities Kane has had? How many of us would love to have accrued the wealth Kane has earned from this brilliant Football Club?

Q for people then if it’s Schurrs & Fati (and Son/Richy cover ST) or Schurrs & Orban (and Son/Perisic/Solomon/Kulu/Gil cover wing spots)

Which other positions would people want upgrading in order to be happy enough with the Kane sale / money being spent and made up for?

Aside from possibly another CM if PEH goes then I can’t see too many other areas right now that we’d need to improve 🤷‍♂️

If we spend some of the Kane money on Fati, it would be another pure opportunity signing because Levy can get him cheap. And he'd be cheap because his knee is totally fucked. He had multiple ops to repair his wrecked meniscus and simply isn't the same player anymore.

This isn't just a player who's lost form, it's a player who sadly isn't capable of what he could do before. It would be signing him based on how he performed before his injury, but this isn't Fifa.

This article goes into it in detail.
Such a sad read. Poor kid and sums up sport these days.
