He’s significantly better than Richy. This guy reminds me of richy tbh
I think most of us have only seen him in the world cup when he was pretty woeful.I think some people need to realise that Lautaro is probably the 7th or 8th best striker in the world currently. Maybe even higher. I’m not sure if it’s because some haven’t watched him extensively or because we’ve been spoiled by having Kane. Maybe it’s a bit of both. Richy will never be one of the best in the world. He just doesn’t have the ability. There is a huge gulf in quality between Lautaro and Richy. Yes it’s true that Lautaro will probably never get into the top 5 but that’s hardly a bad thing. Also it’s not as if he’s peaked yet, he’s still getting better. Plus he’s a leader (he’s inter’s captain) and that is also a fantastic quality to have in your CF. Having any top 10 striker would be incredible for us and we really shouldn’t be dismissive of the idea.
Even tho it won’t happen we would be incredibly lucky to bring in a CF of Lautaro or Dusan’s (if he was past his injuries that is) quality. It really is the best we could hope for all things considered.

So much better they're almost incomparable. He’s significantly better than Richy.
Do you want her number?Whether he's amazing or overated there is more chance of me pulling Margot Robbie than this happening.
That's way too muchHonestly 40-45m euro + Richy would be a great deal for both parties.
If hojlund is woth 88m Euro there is no way Lautaro is below that and Richy is not even worth 40+ at this stage. I would say that is a fair pricing or even at bit low, because of Inters dependence on Lautaro. That's way too much
We would value Richy at 60 million minimum especially following his very high profile goals at the world cupIf hojlund is woth 88m Euro there is no way Lautaro is below that and Richy is not even worth 40+ at this stage. Based on the games I’ve watched he seems identical with a tad bit more pace and hits the ball hard. He’s significantly better than Richy.
Tbh I’m just going to quote myself from a few days ago as otherwise I’d end up reiterating what I’ve said previously. But I’m curious how many times you’ve seen full matches of his specifically in Seria A to come to that conclusion? As someone who has seen him live at the San Siro on a number of occasions I just personally think he’s on an entirely different level to Richy. But that is my opinion and I’m by no means a professional football scout.Based on the games I’ve watched he seems identical with a tad bit more pace and hits the ball hard.
but his finishing considering he’s played forever as a number 9 isn’t great. He’s let inter down many times and if it wasn’t for Lukaku that one season causing havoc he would have continued to be a richy imo.
I’d like to hear why you think he’s better?
I’m a massive fan of his and have watched probably 70-80% of his games for Inter as they are the other club I follow. His numbers are incredibly consistent, he’s a big game player, a fighter, fantastic in the air even tho he’s short, is excellent at finding space in the box and is just a better all round player than Richy. He was nicknamed El Toro, the bull, because of how aggressively he plays. He is just in your face constantly which again sometimes results in him forcing things but he will also run defensives ragged. Is he Haaland or Osimhen level, no, his finishing can be erratic at times even tho he has the technique and he needs good technical players alongside him. He really suffers when he’s isolated. I’ve always felt with him if he just worked on finessing his skills he’d be an absolute beast but as is he’s just a tad rough around the edges. But like I said, his numbers are incredibly consistent and his all round play is getting better each year. He will also push himself and the team until the final whistle. If you’re looking for a player to lead a press from the top he’d be a great pick. Really he is about as best an established target we could hope for in regards to CF. Dusan is a better natural finisher then him but with his injuries I have big concerns. The caveat being, and this would go for Dusan, Orban, Leonardo or any of the other strikers I’ve seen mentioned, he’d need much better support from the wings.
Which sort of brings up another point, I’d take Lautaro in a heart beat. I think I even said back when we appointed Ange that he’d be a perfect striker for him even if he isn’t, and probably never will be, a top 4/5 striker in the world. BUT if we were going to splash the cash on just one player I’d rather it be a WF then a CF. I think ultimately I’d prefer a Lautaro quality striker but I think an Orban and then spending £50/60 mil on a really talented WF would be the better option. In an ideal world I’d get Lautaro, a top wide player and Orban (and maybe sell Richy) but that’s never, ever going to happen.
TBH tho the argument is moot as we aren’t going to be buying Lautaro or Dusan or Eze or Chiesa or any other player that would take a hefty chunk and a commitment from Levy to get it done without fucking around trying to squeeze every penny out of the deal.
Having read your reasoning I think we are pretty much in agreement of how Lautaro plays.Tbh I’m just going to quote myself from a few days ago as otherwise I’d end up reiterating what I’ve said previously. 1 in 2 striker in Serie A for three season in a row. But its his hairTotally overrated imo. If he had a crap hair do and was pale nobody would notice the guy
