The Times reported Chelsea withdrew their interest as he wants to join us
Interesting. Feels like it’ll happenThe Times reported Chelsea withdrew their interest as he wants to join us
Watching him play for Forrest last year, and some flashes in Wales' games, you can see he has a good engine. Keeps running, tracks back, presses 100%. Then again, I hardly watched him enough to say with any certainty he plays that way all the time. It's a very small sample size.I’ve not seen loads of him but have read that he puts in a good shift defensively. How true is this? If he does then he could bring more balance to our right flank when Porro is playing. In theory it could work really well for us with a goal threat and great crossing from both.

Sounds promising and looks an exciting talent going forward. I want to see Poro getting as involved as possible in the attack and this sounds like the type of player that could leave us less exposed while still being a goal threat in his own right.Watching him play for Forrest last year, and some flashes in Wales' games, you can see he has a good engine. Kulu puts a defensive shift in as well. He's hardly son when it comes to closing down.Sounds promising and looks an exciting talent going forward. It’s probably more about recovery pace. Johnson has it in spades compared to Deki.Kulu puts a defensive shift in as well. He's hardly son when it comes to closing down.
He’s obviously got a sensible dad as well who knows football inside and out. And At the moment, Chelsea is a basket case of a club and so can’t see he’d be advising his son to go there. The Times reported Chelsea withdrew their interest as he wants to join us
If I send you mine, would you score it out of 10?I actually quite rate Johnson, sorry
I get that you are just trying to covey what the previous poster possibly meant (so this isn't necessarily aimed at you), but defensive recovery pace shouldn't really be a priority for a player in our front three, in order to make room for a fullback being more offensive. And Brennan would definitely not be brought in for that reason. It’s probably more about recovery pace. Johnson has it in spades compared to Deki.
Don’t agree with that at all. Of course it is a benefit to have players who can work defensively and have good pace in doing so. Covering for a full back is an important part of the system for midfielders and the wide men where the full back has got ahead of them. If a move breaks down the sooner we get numbers back the better.I get that you are just trying to covey what the previous poster possibly meant (so this isn't necessarily aimed at you), but defensive recovery pace shouldn't really be a priority for a player in our front three, in order to make room for a fullback being more offensive. If that were the case we might as well promote Porro to RW and look for a new RB instead.
Deki is also more disciplined than most on the pitch, which is definitely more important than pace when it comes to providing occasional cover. With that said, I don't doubt Brennan have great defensive qualities as well. Personally I don't know enough about him.
Yeah he does, I’m not knocking him. I was just thinking about how Johnson would work with Poro.Kulu puts a defensive shift in as well. He's hardly son when it comes to closing down.
It is indeed a benefit to have pace. Not sure why you would think I suggested otherwise?Don’t agree with that at all. Porro + Johnson is always going to be better offensively than New right back + Porro as Johnson is a much better attacker so I don’t get your point there at all.
