Postecoglou has to shoulder some blame here. Team selection was really poor.

There was no need for Forster to be starting. Son didn't need resting. Neither Bissouma.

There was far too many changes and this all felt pretty inevitable really.

Are we going to put blame on ange who has been here for 1-2 months because we have shitty players who have lingerd on and are to bad for a top side Sanchez, Hojbjerg and skipp ? FFS grow up and have some patience

We better pray for an injury free season because half our back ups wouldn‘t cut it at my local team let alone a premier league team.

I can only think he was the only one with the balls to step up and take the 3rd one. In which case fair play to him but everyone and his dog knew he'd miss.

Would be lying if I said I was that bothered about going out. At least we didn't lose in 90 minutes and Richarlison got his goal.

Penalties are what they are. Ange said he would make changes for this so he'll take responsibility. We now have one game a week essentially until January. Might be a blessing. More training pitch time and recovery periods between games.

Go all out for the FA Cup.

Oh and at least Sanchez stepped up. It is what it is.

Out of the cup already, what a joke.
Everyone from the manager to the starting 11 need to take the blame.
Our club is so swamped with a losing mentality.

I’m very confident Ange will sort it but this really hurts. 🙁

For me, this isn't an, oh well moment. This is catastrophic. We only have domestic trophies to play for and now it's fa cup or bust. Pissed off

Some fire up the backsides for some of the players being knocked out of the cup so early. Ange made a lot of changes and highlights that anything past our first 11 is mediocre. Boost for Richy getting a goal. Win some you lose some, hopefully shift a few of tonight’s starting 11 out by the end of this week and get a few quality replacements.

That was the worst goalkeeping performance at penalties I think I’ve ever seen.

Sanchez should be nowhere near pens but not his fault. Ange should never have made 9 changes to start with and his subs were bad too.

Out of the cup again. Boring. Hopefully he’ll realise now he needs to get rid of lots and lots of players. Shit happens, Ange shouldn’t have done that but I understand why he thought he needed to. It’s just we’ve seen it time and time again that our second team isn’t good enough. Ever.

Ugh.
