There's probably a reason why champions league clubs aren't coming in for you mate. View attachment 131378
At least Tanguy takes Bill Nick's words to heart

IT IS BETTER TO FAIL AIMING HIGH THAN TO SUCCEED AIMING LOW. AT SPURS WE SET OUR SIGHTS VERY HIGH, SO THAT EVEN FAILURE WILL HAVE IN IT AN ECHO OF GLORY.”

He knows there's no champions League team coming in for him. It's a perfect excuse to sit on his arse and collect his massive wages. He's a total waster

I don’t think he cares anymore, even if he ever did.

I fully expect him to see out his contract with us then go to Saudi or MLS for another pay day.

Not true. he is due his salary only.
FIFA regulations on player contracts specifically prohibits unilaterally terminating a player's contract during the playing season. They also specify that it isn't always sufficient for a player who buys out their contract to simply pay up their remaining salary. It's unlikely that it would be considered a fair contract if the same wasn't true the other way.

I think teams in MLS would be too smart for that. MLS may not have the quality, but you better have the industry.

Well hey. At least someone at the club does. Just a shame its an unwanted player & not the man who matters.

He lives in his own world.
As expected, unfortunately.

He'll never get a contract at a level anyway near what we're paying him again, but you'd suspect that he'd at least want to play somewhere, if we subsidized his wages. Seems like he has no appetite for football really.

We should pile on fitness work for him within reason. If he fails to comply, keep fining him. This bridge is burnt, so fuck it

I mean I think the upside for him of being paid off is that he can go back to France. He doesn't have to train, he can do what he wants and sort out a move come the next window.

Maybe this is what he is angling for by turning down all these teams. If that is the case then you have to keep him to clean the shitters at the training ground rather than let him go!

Swear this bellend will find a way to hang around even when his enormous contract runs out.

Club just need to cut losses and swallow a good chunk of his wage to shift him on. he must be a damaging presence in the dressing room sulking about the place putting in no effort.
