It actually concerns me how much power liverpool seem to have both in the media and with the governing bodies.....yet they think the conspiracy is against them? :cautious: :shifty:

Pundits on Soccer special all saying that the points could be important to Liverpool at the end of the season.
FFS they we’re down to ten men and more than likely would have lost the game, still 60 minutes to go.

yup. You know they probably hate us more than Pool but can see 1) it was a mistake, 2) shit happens to every club and 3) Liverpool playing the customs again.
They also have just called the red cards etc correctly.

The VAR offside error isn’t that stunning when they misapply the technology all the time. Liverpool also get the rub of the green more than other team. Basically Liverpool, their shit fans, etc can go fuck

Pool fans on losing the appeal.

It was never going to be overturned as that would mean two major fuck ups in a single match. With so much focus on the offside call they know they can stick with the original decision and not face much furore.

In hindsight, was a pointless appeal. We made a point but it just reinforces to all the idiots out there who don't understand the game but can use this as a stick to beat us with.

Not overturned. Another disgraceful decision.

No surprise there really.

I can't think what grounds they came up with for the appeal

Funny isn't it? The Liverpool fan are moaning it didn't get overturned when in reality they've been allowed to get away with a frivolous appeal without the extra match ban it should have resulted in.

They used Neville's law which states, "if you'd actually played the game you'd know its almost impossible to make a tackle without breaking legs, therfore as long as you're eyes are on the ball, a yellow card is enough"

Yeah if you'd actually played the game but you're not Frank Lampard, Robbie Savage, Chris Sutton, Clive Allen, Andros Townsend. Any others?

Once again the pundits thinking adding that goal back in would have made it 2-2.
They are too thick to comprehend that if the goal stood, those goals may not have happened in the way they did. We may not have equalized until the second half and they may not have piled forward to get an equalizer.
So many different outcomes based on that goal standing.

The "Yeah, and if I had wheels I'd be a lorry, but I don't" situation. The government do it too, lot of yeah buts, talking about some imaginary dystopia that would exist under Labour.

I only make that comparison between Liverpool and the Tory government because I know it will drive them mental x

It’s been 4 days since it happened. And all I can see every day on every bit of social media is this lot. Fucking get a grip and move on. You are all seriously embarrassing yourselves. Even to the point I’m considering ghosting some long term mates. Victims!!!

RAWK
  • I've tried to be grown up about this today, made a real effort, but I've failed. Hope these lose every match going forward unless it's one where their winning helps us.
No real logic to it, just want them to suffer. Blaaagh!
  • I don’t even mean in a metaphorical sense. They actually, really did not beat us. Both teams had two goals. One of ours was stolen.

So yeah. Celebrate away you fucking twats.
  • Even when they win, nobody talks about them
  • I've always hated them more than Arsenal, horrible entitled fanbase with delusions of the grandeur, they've done absolutely nothing for 40 years
  • I've now seen at least two articles praising Spurs for 'overcoming adversity' in beating us yesterday. Pretty nifty that you can now get plaudits for overcoming someone else's adversity
  • They are not very creative at all for a side thats supposedly attacking. I get the feeling Crocodile Dundee’s ability is fully based upon his man management than the tactical side of the game
  • Saturday wasnt Spurs fault.
It was a corrupt organisation working on behalf of a gulf state owned team which caused the problems.
  • That lap of honor with the kids is going to look pretty fucking stupid at the end of the season - with 11 on the pitch I'm convinced we would have hammered them . We nearly done it with 9 .
  • I do work with some spurs fans, and was listening to them go on about decisions that have gone against them in previous years against us. Always fun listening to it from another fans point of view, as Liverpool fans think the exact opposite.
Be nice if when push is changed, everyone just agreed maybe its needed
  • Trouble is most fans just believe what they read in the rags or hear the garbage pundits spout. SKY & Talkshite have pushed an anti Liverpool agenda for decades and all the soccer AM bantz doesn't help either.
Every team thinks they are picked on, every team gets a bad decision or mistake occasionally but its way beyond that with us.
I know what I have seen with my own eyes every week.
  • They'll be fuming that no one's talking about them taking 4 points from 6 against Arsenal and Liverpool or that they're second in the table and just a point off City

  • If it carries on, it’ll be because he’s been a failure, everyone loves a ‘funny’ or charming loser.
  • There's just something inherently dislikeable about Spurs. I think it's because they are such overcompensating try-hards.
Asking them to join a potential ESL was, as the joke went at the time, like asking Bananaman to join the Avengers.

  • Seen it all now, people giving up after seven games saying Spurs of all teams has won the league …
  • what annoys me most about them (and always has) is the hugely misplaced idea that they're a massive club on the same level as ourselves and United. Absolutely bizarre and does my head in. They seem to think that when they finished above us a couple of times when they had Bale and Modric, that makes them our peers. Fuck off with that.

Also, Maddison is absolutely made for these. Not in the sense that he's a great player or anything - just such a flash, flatters-to-deceive wanker with an immensely punchable face. Absolutely invisible when we had 11 men yesterday then strutted around like a peacock against 10, then looked absolutely useless and got subbed against 9. Not a bad player, but an absolute pretender at this level, just like his club.
  • I've generally thought Ange seemed sound, but I'm very surprised he's come out with that kind of shite. You could see on the guy's face yesterday (both late in the game, and even at full time) that deep down he knew they'd been shite and hadn't deserved to win at all. If that's the case just take your win with a bit of humility and shut the fuck up.
  • I dont use the whole fraud thing because it's very much football bantery, but feels like the Spurs manager actually is. I think he has probably hit upon a formula of player motivation, but outside of that I reckon he is a competition winner.
  • The entire premier league will have these lot and this Ang chancer fella sussed by Christmas.
  • Was at the game yesterday and was not leaving until I clapped our players off. I unfortunately also had to endure the most embarrassing misplaced over the top celebrations I ever laid eyes on. I’ve seen cup winners celebrate less.

As for Robbie Williams blasting out. Words fail me.

When we inevitably take them apart at Anfield, I really want the whole team sat on the floor doing ooops up side your head, in front of the Spurs bench. While the subs form a Conga and surround that little gobshite Son. I am beginning to really hate him because of his constant cringeworthy behaviour after anyone scores.
  • Mad how many favourable decisions these have had against us in recent years - last night aside, there was the obvious Skipp red card last season which was 10x worse than the Jones challenge, there was that 2-2 game the year before (when we lost out on the league by a point, you'll remember...) when Kane got away with a leg breaker on Robertson which is a red card 100 times out of 100, and the most stonewall penalty I've ever seen on Jota was waved away. Even that 2-2 game a few years back where Mo scored that ridiculous solo goal and Spurs were given two dubious late penalties and mouth-breather Kane told the camera "can't give me two chances". Those are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head.
    Horrible, unlikeable club.

  • Well said mate and exactly my point. Fucking changed his tune quicker than you can say hypocrite

Embarrassing the way they've gone about it like they battled to a famous victory
  • As football fans we reserve the right to hate everyone else. As someone who despises Spurs and everything and everyone associated to Spurs, i have found the Ange love in fucking nauseating. Anything that paints him as a c*nt is alright by me.
  • I must admit if the above quote is true, and assuming there are no contextual factors (I haven't watched any aftermath), I'm a bit disappointed in Ange as well. I thought he'd be a cert to come out and admit that Liverpool were robbed, that his club are the fortunate recipients of an officiating shitshow, and show some sympathy for what happened to us.

It's what Klopp would have done. But then maybe I fooled myself into thinking he might be a bit Klopp-like.

I guess I forget that there's Klopp and then there's everyone else.
  • What I don't really get is why everyone is trying to pull Tottenham into the controversary when it's the PGMOL who we should be holding to account. It's not Tottenham's fault or their manager's fault. While we are blaming them for not being like Klopp the likes of Webb are getting a clean slate.
  • Spurs have, weirdly, always been a ‘favoured’ club Gounod back to their double win in 60/61.

A few FA cup wins and a League Cup? yet still they get bigger up like us, United or Arsenal of the old school clubs.
  • Jürgen dealt with it with far more class all things considered
    ;D

Anyway, as for Spurs, it’s amazing how much luck they get when playing Liverpool in recent years, it seems each game the referee gives them massive leg-ups, be it penalties not given, red cards not given, and now this utter shit show yesterday.
  • Ange gets credit from some here because he’s a Liverpool supporter, it would be very different if he supported Manchester Untied. I don’t who he supports, I hope he loses every game unless it benefits us.
  • We'll finish at least 10 points ahead of them. Won't even be close. Our best is way better than theirs
  • Let's see how they fare against city
🧂 wow lol

Im not sure why they're now directing their anger towards us. How dare we celebrate a home win against mighty Liverpool.

And for the record, the players have celebrated after ALL the home wins

"Let's see how they fare against city"

you know you're doing good when they're waiting for the best team in the league to do their dirty work.
