It's one of the nicest looking goals, the way it rips into the roof of the net and roles downSpurs have missed a golden opportunity today to include Matip’s goal in the goal of the month vote.
Guarantee he’d win it and then I’d like to have seen that put to Klopp at his next press conference just to see his face boil then melt.
That's where this gurning, dressed like a hobo prick is being irresponsible. Imagine it was replayed and we lost. The place would go absolutely mental.Fuck me, imagine the atmosphere. Would be nice and toxic.
What a beautiful image. Very poeticUntil today, I really respected Klopp. Now, I don’t. As this sort of victimization vitriol is intensely childish, and pathetically selfish. First with trying to repeal the Jones card and now demanding a replay. He’s chumming the waters full of scouse sharks… whipping them into a deranged frenzy.
wowCurious how RAWK is doing right now, but here are a few comments from Liverpool fans on Reddit:
- I don’t want a replay, I think it’s punishing Spurs more than anything when the real problem is the referees. Spurs just played their game to the rules of the refs. I do however want the reds overturned as Jones’ was a yellow, and Jota was on a yellow from a ‘human error’.
- The idea that Spurs need to be punished for this is ridiculous. They won within the rules set and played out.
It's the referees that need to wise the fuck up
- Not a fan of this at all
You can’t start handing out replays due to mistakes by officials
- Why wouldn’t you want it replayed? The worst case scenario is losing which has already happened. In the best case justice is done and we get the 3 points on City
- it feels like a negotiation tactic, replay is too far, but swapping the var room people to capable non pgmol staff isn’t
- Why are we still using voice-based confirmation. The VA our booth could very easily enter information using a tablet interface that would remove all ambiguity. The tablet would show up in the booth what they are checking “offside” and instead of trying to confirm the on-field decision, it would just tell you what the actual outcome is. On side or offside with clear, unambiguous communication.
What was really eye-opening to me was how similar on side and offside sound and how even when trying to clarify there was still confusion because they heard the wrong thing
- It wasnt a mistake.
Its blatant match fixing.
- Let’s say we do. What about the red cards? CJ’s appeal was turned down- is that now rescinded? What about Diogo?
Running parallel to this what about the points Tottenham got? What happens if they lose the replayed fixture and subsequently don’t have enough points to play in Europe?
- You should not even think about, it would create a horrible precedent that would come and bite us in the ass.
- Nah this isn't it Klopp. Asking for a replay is embarrassing behaviour tbh
- Totally fair to have that view, but definitely one of the few times I disagree with him. It would create a precedent that any wrong call means a chance of a replay.
- He’s right, but it won’t happen and the rest of the PL will whinge for the rest of the season that he even suggested it. In a future incident like this, the game needs to be stopped, the managers informed and the wronged team allowed to kick the ball into the net.
I still believe we can have a great season, but we need to refocus and not let this derail us.
an image of deranged sharks is fucking terrifying mate not beautifulWhat a beautiful image. Very poetic
Big surprise on the allegiances of the lawyer quoted in that article...
(I feel a bit tin-hat/Scouse even digging that up by all I did was google his name+Liverpool out of curiosity )
Nah, he's been a crying fuckwit for years.Until today, I really respected Klopp. Now, I don’t. As this sort of victimization vitriol is intensely childish, and pathetically selfish. First with trying to repeal the Jones card and now demanding a replay. He’s chumming the waters full of scouse sharks… whipping them into a deranged frenzy.
Also good to see him outright lying about Jota, claiming he didn’t touch him for either foul! He just feeds red meat to the rabid element of the fan base, it’s embarrassingKlopp is a joke. Not just calling for a replay but to “let Liverpool score and take it from there”. My word …
I can’t stand him. I particularly hate his tactic of trying to intimidate the opposition whilst they’re warming up before a game, standing there like a prick trying to stare players out.Nah, he's been a crying fuckwit for years.
Tries to come across as a nice guy but when things don't go his way, the veil slips and shows what a nasty piece of work he is.
He's come out with some ridiculous and sometimes downright disgusting shite over the years, this latest thing is just following form.
He's the most despicable manager out there for me.
I watched some of the Robbie's on NBC (I think that who is being talked about here) and the quality of discussion is leagues higher than anything you get over here.Liverpool will keep piling in on the *Sporting Integrity* angle as its the only one they have. If we are asked and say no, guess what? We dont care about sporting integrity. I dont think it happens, if it were to happen then this will happen at least once a gaming week.
On the the Red card to Jones guy from America doesn't understand the English pundits, he said something along the lines of
You dont give a red for intent, you dont give a red for rolling over the ball, you give a red because at the end of it Biss could have taken a career ending injury, which is why the law is in place, to minimise the chances of it happening. He also said Ex footballers are the worst people to judge on that type of challenge as they probably made more than one in their careers and would have been furious to be sent off for it.
Of course, the cynic in me also thinks that even they know a replay is never happening but they're ramping up the hysteria and pressure toaybe try and influence future decisions in their favour by placing this shit storm firmly in everyone's heads.
