Arsenal fans saying it’s only Fulham, but they couldn’t even beat them the scrubs. Haha

Top of the table but those subs did not inspire any confidence should we pick up any injuries.

also, how good is Vicario?! What a signing.
No but then I do think the areas of most concern are Bissouma and Udogie's position.

The good news is Bentancur will be back soon so if Sarr is out, or needs resting we can play 2 of the 3 and not need to play Hojbjerg.

Hojbjerg actually isn't too bad on his own, not great and we can't play totally the way we wish, but it's when you add Emerson, Skipp and technically/athletically limited players and you see a mess.

Hopefully we can get through the Palace game and get Bissouma back with Bentancur not too far behind, that'll remedy a lot.

Also, Johnson will probably get better and start games to take the load up front of and Lo Celso can give Maddison a rest.

Make small changes and it won't be an issue

Annoying how we kept letting them in at the end. Solid win though, more in the tank I hope.

We turned over half the side in that game so not surprising it all went a little ugly. Bizarre that people don't expect this when it's been the same since forever.

Brennan is still very raw; Gio wall be much better with better players around him (see Argentina); PEH was fine but is no Biss, Skipp doesn't look to have kicked on.

Think most are letting his last 15 minutes color their opinion of his overall performance. He was clearly knackered at the end.
Yeah that's why I asked if he played twice for Sweden cause he was clearly gassed.

Skipp and Gio are so out of their depth. Both have to go in January
Gio's only had 61 minutes of football prior to today, so was always going to look rusty. The problem/question with him is can he stay fit in order to gain more minutes off the bench week in week out to get that sharpness?

Above average first half. Below average second half. Good enough to beat Fulham but not the better teams.
We managed the game perfectly and against the better teams a different approach will be used.

We beat United and Liverpool and could well have beaten Arsenal if they hadn't fluked a goal and been gifted a pen. I agree second half today wasn't good, but we're still a work in progress, despite the fantastic start.

Excellent as a whole, but should have keep on their throats and not let them get into the last 20mins. Fantastic that we can play football like this now. Just incredible when we're on it.

Can't please anyone these days. 2-0 home win to go top of the league and people are moaning about players getting minutes in their legs
Exactly. I thought it's a very well-managed game. Ange obviously gave those starting XI who did not play in the international week full 90 minutes and rest early for those who did. If Citeh came away with such a result and back to the top of the table having two more points, everyone will be gushing how professional they are.

And we did that.

Hojbjerg was fine tonight I thought. Emerson is fine on his normal side, but he was forced to play on the left so understandably uncomfortable on his weaker side.

Yeah they had a few chances last 15 mins, but it came after the subs and in general we had lots of players finding their feet after injuries/low minutes, plus a long lay off between games under a new early manager. Easily could have been 4 up by that point anyway, great game and the march continues on.

Bit disjointed at the end but so good to see us have the character to win a game to take us top. Feel like we’d have found a way to lose that in years gone by when there’s ‘pressure’ on it. Fingers crossed Udogie and Sarr are OK for Friday - really tough game but imagine if we could go 5 clear. Love this new Spurs.
