Daniel at the hearing when the verdict of the transfer ban is announced....problem is levy would love nothing more than a transfer ban
Daniel Levy may have many faults but he is not thick or "green" in terms of his knowledge of the rules and how any breaches by competitor clubs were handled by the authoritiesThe most similar example that he could have given would have been Arsenal's first of two agent breaches that they were charged for - and only given tiny fines for.
Arsenal got a £10k fine for the first offence (that's the precedent set for our situation), followed by a £60k fine for a repeat of the same offence (having already been found guilty of the first offence, so it will have been viewed as a repeat offence at the time).
The difference is that Arsenal was the buying club, while we were the selling club. I may be mistaken, but I believe the buying club will have been more at fault, due to being the party that paid all/most of the money to the unlicensed intermediary. I can't find anything about the punishments for the buying clubs - presumably because those clubs were lower profile, but potentially because the punishments for the selling clubs were lesser or non-existent.
Very strange, the more I have read of this case the less serious it looks. Is there something we are missing not in the public domain, did Levy make illegal untaxed payments or something. Leeds did what we are currently accused of and got a small fine, unless there is something else or the PremIer League has gone mad due to the new regulator I fail to see what the big scandal is.
15 years, as you say. Slow. The equivalent of VAR…. important not to celebrate a transfer too early!This might be me being unfair but is Lawton a reputable, unbiased journo? He seems to have a weird fascination with this particular solitary minor (in light of other, more recent transgressions) incident from 15 years ago. It's not even getting that much traction that I can see so it's not like it's a clickbait thing, it's like he's on some personal mission to not allow the FA to let it go unpunished.
No statute of limitation? It’s 7 years for most crimes, isn’t it?15 years, as you say. Slow. The equivalent of VAR…. important not to celebrate a transfer too early!
Me giving your post a dislike because you are telling me how I'm thinking on a specific subject is acting like a diva? ok thenA dislike, rather than a disagree on this @Trix suggests to me that rather than you basing your posts on any info you may have, you just dislike people not agreeing with your opinion.
Mate, we all appreciate the information you provide on here but that doesn't mean we have to agree with everything you say.
If itks want to post and be treated like normal members, they shouldn't act like divas when someone offers a different opinion, or point of view.
It wasn't just that specific incident that I was referring to and I'm sure you realise that.Me giving your post a dislike because you are telling me how I'm thinking on a specific subject is acting like a diva? ok then

You are being paranoid.Call me paranoid but the timing of all this, when there’s 115+ charges against Man City being brought up post Everton being hit is a very big coincidence.
This is set up for a “if they only got fined, then fine us. I, Mustapha Millions will be able to pay for it”
I thought there wasn't;t a statute of limitations in the PL? I'm sure when I read about the City charges they said the reason they got off though CAS for the the previous ban from UEFA was because of the statute but that wouldn't happen in this case because the same doesn't apply in the PL.There’s a statute of limitations on this kind of allegation thought to be around 6 years. Think we’ll be fine. Doesn’t directly mention us but worth a listen for anyone interested in this stuff;

I’m surprised this wasn’t put to him when he was on TalksportHas Lawton mentioned that Scum breached the rules twice and just received a £10k and £60k fine despite re-offending? Or is that too close to home for him…
