Yeah I certainly find Newcastle far less annoying than Villa fans for example.Howe will be fine. The fans love him for the most part and the injury crisis is understood. Don't forget he is the first coach to get the fans properly on board for years. They have had a shite time under cashly.
It's a bit different with the Toon fans. They are fanatical and fanciful, but it comes from a a place of lunacy as opposed to misplaced arrogance... If that makes sense.
I've a soft spot as I lived up there for a while. Mad as a box of frogs they are but a generally sound and sensible fan base.
