We were clearly much the better team and were we not missing 4 guaranteed starters from our front 6, I believe we would’ve won comfortably.
If we can get lucky with injuries, we should have a very, very positive second half of the season.

Individually both centre halves & Richarlison were excellent. Bentancur motm for me - guy is pure class and doesn’t matter where he’s asked to play. No6 and he controls the game, No8 and he’s box to box knitting it together then today further forward and he is the best player on the pitch.

The absolute arrogance of these ex utd pundits making out it's so much harder to play for united than other teams. Just accept you're a mid table banter club now. It's easier to come to terms with

Absurd from Keane, the supposed Spurs supporter too.

We just dominated the game at old Trafford and our team, scrapping the bottom in terms of personnel, displayed a clear style of play which United were completely lacking. Ten Hag has had much longer and spent much more, it's amazing what Ange has achieved in comparison to the dutchman
Keane isn’t a spurs fan he has a fondness for us as a kid but he’s a Celtic fan and Man.U as his 2nd club after playing for them for so long.

He will always favour and bias Man.U.

Gary Neville gave us a lot of compliments to be fair he said during commentary about 20x that ‘Spurs have been the better team and play much better football’

Keane is always only interested in points and results that’s just how he is, he won’t give you objective punditry with context, leave that to Carra, Neville and others etc.

The pressure to play at united is less than it has been for 25 years, no one inc their own fans expect anything now

The old “it’s harder to play at Man United than anywhere else” United boys club are off again
They don’t see that they (Keane, Neville, scholes, Ferdinand) are the real problem along with the fans.

If the players and coaches are under that much pressure, it isn’t necessarily coming from the owners. Each manager and the players are always given time. The rest is unnecessary pressure and they should be more patient and don’t deserve to hoover everything up just because they were good 10 + years ago.

Probably why he never made it as a coach too..

I dunno, have you spoken to Utd fans recently? They are some of the most deluded about, believing they should be right up there. Still can’t believe Kane didn’t push a transfer/ free transfer to them.

Taking Lamela's value in to consideration didn't we pay a similar amount for Gil? Yet everyone is willing to give him time.

The bottom line is Johnson (and Gil, for that matter) is only 22 years old. Definitely has time to tweak his game for the better.
Yeah I wanted Gill to come good... I've now accepted he isn't at the required standard. I'd sell him at the 1st chance. Maybe 2yrs from now Johnson will adapt....but my initial impressions are very much ...meh... nothing to see here.

Crikey, watching these Ten Hag interviews… you can only imagine the amount of players who must come out of his team talks simply saying “….what?”.

btw, just want to say, we gave credit to peh, skipp, richie, cuti, vdv, porro and gave johnson grief but i read very little about BENTANCUR

without him today, we might have lost.

he stitches all our play so so well

Very lucky Mctomany did not score as that would have been Radu's fault, leaving him and runs into the back of Romero there leaving Udogie with 2 men
That was my initial reaction but I’m not sure upon review. Romero is actually in no man’s land marking nobody. Radu and Destiny have 3 guys to cover. I think they probably each have to step one man up and leave the guy furthest out uncovered. In actuality they left the most dangerous guy in the middle wide open.

but again - you’re talking players who have probably had one training session together

I really hope Neville isn't commentating otherwise I'll need to find an alternate stream. The guy is just very very bad and more annoying when it's a utd game.
Did you listen to Roy Keane in the studio. We, We, We. Spoken like a true Utd fan except he was Spurs as a kid and also played for Forest . Strange how these players always attach themselves to most success
Ferdinand passes himself off as a lifelong Utd fan even though he was West Ham as a boy, then Leeds.
Lescott another one. Brummie but played 3 or 4 yrs for City now lifelong supporter, Plank.
I always thought pundits were supposed to be impartial . Neville keeps it reasonable.

Pedro’s corners have become a real weapon. A high percentage into threatening areas at pace. Some beauties in there today.
