The interviews not even that bad.Such a clown, unprofessional!
Andy Sinton? Can't stand this ****, and I never liked him when he was at Spurs. I had sympathy for his off-field problems, but he's the most detestable man to ever be associated with this football club in my lifetime (apart from the obvious, but I have mentally removed any association with him).
In terms of the interview, I saw a quote that said he felt weird celebrating fourth place and he told his staff not to get used to that. IMO that's no different than what we say on here!
To be fair, I defo did celebrate every time we've finished in the CL places.Yeah but we don’t celebrate finishing fourth and haven’t done for a long time. It’s seen as a minimum now and generally speaking we’re only ok with missing it when we are in a transition season. We didn’t celebrate all of the fourth place finishes under Pochettino.
Conte was the one who started talking about the “miracle” of finishing fourth. He invented the idea about it being a miracle for us to finish fourth and then invented the idea about us celebrating it like it was a trophy.

And for Harry Kane as well! The look on his face when he saw Sanchez poised to enter the fray!“I have to win”
Unless we’re 1-0 down on agg with 10 mins to go and I bring on a centre half, just in case we concede again….
(Yes Romero got sent off but that was still the final straw for me)
No it wasn't.He took over the club with us in 9th place and falling under Nuno, in that context it was a miracle to finish 4th.

To then expect better from the team and staff the following season is exactly what we would all want, and it’s exactly what Ange is going to expect next season too.
I don’t see the problem with him using an analogy, and we have no idea how the staff at the club including the board reacted to us getting 4th. Maybe there was a celebration akin to winning a trophy?
Conte did a genuinely really great job during that season - some bumps in the road notwithstanding. The problem was that he essentially downed tools the following season and blamed absolutely everyone but himself. He had some personal issues, which I had sympathy for. But if he had come out and said ‘I’ve had a really hard time of it this year and I just can’t manage the pressure of managing full time. I need a break. Thank you for the opportunity Spurs and good luck’ I think the view of him on here would be markedly different. It’s true we were ninth when Conte took over (after ten league matches), but we were only two points behind 5th placed Arsenal who we eventually finished two points above. A three point swing over twenty eight matches.
I’m not saying Conte didn’t do a good job during that season, but a miracle? Not for me. I suppose the bar had been set so low by Jose and Nuno that it maybe it felt like a miracle?
