Didi - we love you, big man!

I couldn't agree more. It's ridiculous how the haters focus on the minor flaws in Zoko's game, yet turn a blind eye everytime he selflessly volunteers to take a throw in or smiles pleasantly. At least some people appear to be watching the same game as me!

Harry Redknapp:Houdini or the Wizard of Oz?

Really good article. I agree with pretty much everything you've said. I think what worries me most is the negative tactics that have crept in. We first saw it when we played 5 in midfield against Fulham and the 5 were Modric (on the left), Zokora, Jenas, Huddlestone and Bentley, and we saw it...

    Return of that sinking feeling

No, those aren't the odds (probability) we were facing, that's just a meaningless stat. How many teams have actually had that bad a start since the premiership began? If you can't tell me that, then you don't actually know the odds (probability) we were facing. Learn to think for yourself, and...

64-67 pts is still very much on.

OK, I'm game, though I absolutely agree that it's almost impossible to predict these things and I guarantee my predictions will be way off (which doesn't bode well, as I'm predicting 14 points). v Villa (win) v Wigan (draw) v Portsmouth (draw) v Hull (win) v Stoke (win) v Bolton (win)

64-67 pts is still very much on.

I always feel like a player coming out and saying "We need to make make WHL a fortress" is the kiss of death for our home form. I think it's imperative that the team comes up with a new cliche, and fast!

    Remembering a Legend: Darren Anderton

Thanks for posting a link to that goal. I remember it fondly and was great to see it again. Anderton was a talented player and early on in his Spurs career he was a very good one, but he wasn't a "legend", no matter how loose a meaning you attach to that word.

If this was our new transfer target.....

I’ve got no complaints about the little man. He’s always been a pretty solid player for us. As for the clip, well yes, he’s a decent dribbler (though not as good as the film’s editing made him out to be) but the clips usually ended before Lee crossed the ball and there’s a reason for that...

    Lawro's Prediction

He may be right and he may be wrong, but I can’t see how it’s an outrageous prediction. I’m sorry to break the news to all of you, but predicting that we will lose on Saturday doesn’t make you ignorant or a “Twat”. It could happen. I’m sure he’s well aware of how our pre season has gone, but...

for all of you who said....

We haven't signed either of those players yet, so drawing conclusions about how the arrival of those players will affect where Modric plays is, to put it politely, slightly premature. Regardless of who we go on to sign, I feel that when you pay £16 million for a player, you want to put him in...

Modric in team of the tournament

For these championships, having a player of the tournament seems to miss the point a bit. OK, obviously in a sense that's a silly thing to say, but what I mean is that the outstanding performance of the tournament was really the entire Spain midfield. The way they constantly swapped positions...

Modric in team of the tournament

Agreed. I thought he was incredible in the semi final against Russia. They started with Iniesta on the right wing, then Silva switched to right wing, then they realised that Ramos was good enough to have the whole right side to himself. This sounds like nonsense and tactical madness, but it's...

    would you do it???

Keane is a striker. He has occasionally been effective when dropping deeper into midfield or "the hole", but he's been playing up front too well for too long for there to be any good reason to think about changing his position. Podolski has been very good so far in the Euros. Loves a shot and...

Guillam Balague - Modric and tactical formation.

Definitely. Berbatov and Keane's partnership up front was the most effective part of our team last season -why would we tinker with it? All depends on keeping Berbatov, though.

Chris Hughton - what a muppet!

You make some sensible comments about Hughton, but I strongly disagree with your last point. This has been a superb thread. Surely people who have nothing to argue about arguing about nothing stirs the soul of every spurscommunity member. Brasil Spurs did us proud!
