Not sure what new information they're expecting to gather from the survey, seems a little redundant to me. I can guess the findings now, most Spurs fans use the word 'yid', no spurs fan intends it to cause offence, David Baddiel is a hypocritical tit who would never use anything like a person's...
Been around for about a year, just a money wasting bit of PR. If the money which has been spent on pointless political spin like this over the last few years was actually spent on regeneration then the area might be in slightly better shape.
There are a lot of bus stops that incorporate commercial names, especially supermarkets and tourist attractions, don't know whether these are paid for by the companies or TfL just names them as that's the most sensible name given the location.
On the DLR there is Custom House for ExCel, but I...
Seeing as the extension from Surrey Quays to Clapham junction cost just £80m, because most of the track was already there, and that involved tarting up 7 stations, I don't see why the northumberland park extension couldn't be done for £27m. However, I thought that the land on which the station...
It is there, planning was granted and was just awaiting the section 106 agreements, so you could argue that planning wasn't in place because we never finalised the section 106, but we basically got to the point where the development had been agreed, but we hadn't agreed on how big the 'bribe'...
There is a link to the planning application on Haringey's website earlier in this thread, permission was granted in 2001, extended in 2006 and expired in 2011. Not sure whether Haringey remove expired applications, maybe that's why you can't find it.
EDIT: It appears it is still on Haringey's...
We had planning permission to build a new East Stand bringing the capacity to 44,000, I believe it expired a couple of years ago, it would have involved closing the East stand for a season, meaning we'd have only had a 25,000 capacity while it was being built and there were issues involving the...
I think you need to reread this thread as your memory of how this discussion started seems to be somewhat hazy. If you honestly believe that you have to be born a Jew and be of a certain race or ethnicity to be a Jew then I would suggest you are living in cloud cuckoo land. Whether this is just...
Just because there are some idiots out there who persecute people based on a person's religion or even the religion of their grandparents doesn't make them correct. Also, the vast majority of Semites are not Jewish.
I like to educate myself in science and reason, not in fairy tales.
If you can honestly tell me that you believe these people are of the same race or ethnicity I will go away and educate myself on Judaism, until then I will continue to hold my view that Judaism is a religion:
"Bestowed upon" does not mean "born as". Just because some crackpot religion (and this isn't anti-jewish, I think all religions are crackpot) has decided to bestow an identity on a baby does not make it factually correct.
Because it is dumb to believe that anybody can be born of a certain religion. Sure, they can have views imposed upon them by their parents and society, but people are born human, not religious.
