    The ousting of Daniel (COYS)

That's not what I said. I think Ange has been given cart blanche to build a challenging squad. I'd be surprised if he's been given a priority list of comps to go for and if he had I think he wouldn't have taken the role. As unpalatable as it might be to some fans I think he used the league cup...

    The ousting of Daniel (COYS)

He had a small competitive window before the transfer deadline to give as many players the opportunity, under him to showcase themselves in a competitive game. He's not building a team for this season he's building one for future years and that game was more important to confirm to him who...

    The ousting of Daniel (COYS)

How unbelievably arrogant is that take? It's like your opinion is the correct one and no one else's can differ. This thread more than any on here does my head in, it brings out the worst of fans. It's like fecking Brexit

    The ousting of Daniel (COYS)

And there it is the lowest common denominator reply to someone who is putting across constructive discussion.

That's the model though. He's been pretty sort after for loans, wages aren't too high and clubs are still willing to take a punt to unearth a gem. Works for us as long as we do our due diligence and don't go for scatter gun approach to young talent.

    Manager Watch: Ange Postecoglou

I do think wages and amortised value are going to become a bigger factor. We've seen ourselves, Man Utd, Chelsea soon, struggling to move players out and if you have a manager churn you can't hamstring them with deadwood that's near impossible to move. That's what I like about our current...

Thanks for this and I'm on the same page. Son and Kane are elite, a coaches job at a club like Spurs is to improve that player at the level or 2 below. Conte's success generally comes when he's working with the very best. His appointment was misguided and that was on Levy.

I didn't think you were, I think that what the poster is after that though. The differentiator for me is that Ange has worked with the squad and is taking a long term view to it. I was never bothered by the League Cup team because he needed to see players in a competitive environment and off...

    Manager Watch: Ange Postecoglou

This is going over old ground but lumping Jose and Conte in together doesn't feel justified to me. Jose is spent, his love in the Mendes always makes me feel he's lining his pockets rather than thinking about the best interests of the club. Conte was a terrible appointment for the reasons...
