Agree with most of your points and i was screaming at the tv at 2-1 for someone in midfield to show some composure and get their foot on the ball as opposed to just kicking it upfield. We were looking for someone to show some leadership.
Imho this came from an unlikely source in the last 7/8...
Imo, Fazio does bring some value to the team and doesn't deserve the harsh criticism he has got in this thread.
A good organiser, vocal and seems to be a good reader of the game.
Still think if he was playin on saturday, you would not have seen so many free headers by diouf in our box, dare say...
Not in the depths of despair like many on here but we do need a leader in the team, someone with character, determination and heart even if just to see a game out with 20 mins to go.
A Scotty Parker type in his prime, barking out orders and leading by example.
Cambiasso wouldn't have been such...
Exactly. Why does every spurs fan seem to think kane is going to net another 30 goals next season? So we have to settle for a second rate striker to fill in as back up or to start games when harry suffers the inevitable injury/needs a rest.
If i was in Austin's shoes, what's not to attract you...
Bit hypocritical when you have such great time for Tim Sherwood because he wears his heart on his sleeve and says it how it is.
Btw, we need this type of passion, albeit an average player, not enough of it in our squad
I'm a lamela fan and think the boy will be world class some day but he was very poor last night, his worse game imo.
Too many mis placed passes and pushed off the ball too easy.
Poch should have replaced him with chadli on 60mins, it was blatantly obvious he wasn't having one of his better...
Has Lennon been given a chance by poch to warrant inclusion on this list though?
Last nights game, to me, showed he would have been an alternative to townsend/chadli to bring off the bench.
We could do with his directness and willingness to get to the by-line as opposed to our inverted wingers...
I've lost count of the number of times that i have seen soldado make those runs though and the ball is never played through to him.
The man's confidence is shot because of his first six months with us when we never played to his strengths, which leads to the question of why buy him at all.
As...
Agreed but in what position?
We can't afford the finished article from 1 to 11.
Imo delph is a solid player, good engine who's tough in the tackle, exactly what we need to allow our front 4 the freedom to express themselves
