    Team vs Burnley

I'd stick with Llorente up top and see if he can build on the good work in recent games. He can take the stick he'll get from their CBs and give enough back to keep them occupied while Son and Lucas/Lamela run riot.

Think he's said there's only one club he wants to go to but I don't know whether it's RM or Barca. Either way, they're in a very strong position knowing that they have a free run at signing him or waiting to pick him up for free. I think that if he does leave we'll be very disappointed with what...

There was some report a while back that James Rodriguez could be part of a deal. Probably utter tosh and no hint as to whether James would be interested. I don't think he would.

I'd give Foyth the nod personally. If he was at Ajax he'd be attracting massive interest because he'd be playing every week. I think we need a CM like Diawara and probably a LWB like Grimaldo or Telles. I'd give Llorent another year and see where Parrot is at the end of next season. If Eriksen...

IMO replacing Toby isn't a huge priority with Sanchez. Foyth, Verts, Dier and Davies all competent CBs. If he's demanding excessive wages he'll have to go. I also think if we're looking at CBs it has to be a long term replacement for Verts.

If they do start flogging off their players they won't be flogging them off to us.

Alderweireld twice refused new contract, wanted huge wage hike

From what I've read there's been a £150k contract on the table, ready for him to sign for at least a year. Maybe that's true, maybe it isn't. If it's true he's cost himself in excess of 7.5m already, so I don't see any way he signs the same contract now or any time soon. IMO, he'll go somewhere...

The fact that the headache and vomiting thing hung around for so long was a real red flag to me, and I'm relieved he's not playing for that reason alone. Usual concussions are cleared up in a week or so but Halfpenny's been laid up for weeks with it. I hope he makes a full recovery but sadly...

The problem we face is that you can't replace players like Toby and Eriksen like for like because they don't exist. What we can do is bring in players who will fulfill slightly different roles/abilities but who the team can fit around in the same way. It's a mistake to reject players on the...

They must be living off all the money Wenger refused to use all those years.

Player Watch Player Watch: Juan Foyth

Probably the sort of fans who'd be happy to see him hoof it into row Z every time but would then complain that we can't get hold of the ball. Poch clearly likes all of our defenders to be comfortable with the ball at their feet, and that confidence comes from practicing that very skill as much...

Reminds me of how football used to be before transfer windows. All of a sudden 'Boom' we've got a new player.

Loving that. Front row has been a bit hit and miss for the past couple of seasons so he'll be a welcome addition. Boyd's contacts are serving us well with Matt Procter recently signed as well.

Player Watch Player Watch: Fernando Llorente

The thing with Llorente though is that he doesn't threaten anybody's place like Pepe or Werner would. Sooner or later somebody would be looking for a move which isn't the case now. Llorente won't get much time on the pitch and won't expect to either. If we play to his strengths like we've...

Player Watch Player watch: Son Heung-min

He could always bag a goal but his all round play has improved massively since he's been with us. His first touch is now virtually faultless and he's so much better at finding space. At one point he was more of a squad option but now he's a crucial part of our setup.
