    Under the Radar Nonsense

Sure. But aren't "under the radar" and "top of the table" mutually exclusive at around this point in the season? Why would we want to be "under the radar" if that position also means we're at a lower position in the table? I'll gladly take top (or near the top in our case) and in the limelight...

    Under the Radar Nonsense

I rarely post on here but lurk regularly (and will probably immediately resume my lurking after this post), but something I've read a lot of on here in the past few days has me scratching my head. In several threads, people are bemoaning the fact that last weekend's win means we are no longer...

Spurs development side lose to San Jose Earthquakes

You're right. San Jose was pretty abysmal last season. Probably the second-worst team in MLS. That said, the league isn't as bad as most of you probably think. It's likely on par with the top half of the Championship or the bottom quarter of the EPL.

    Landon Donovan

Getting Donovan to work hard will not be a problem. As an American, I've seen him play several times, and he has one of the best engine's I've ever witnessed. And though he's a midfielder, he is also frequently deployed as an in-the-hole striker because he has a lot of goals in him, which is...

Your 1 favourite Spurs Player of all Time

I've only been a Spurs fan for a handful of years, but given that he was the reason I started to support the team, Robbie Keane will likely always be my favorite player. Just wish he'd start scoring goals again.

    Confederations Cup

I half want another crack at Brazil (now's as good a time as any, right?) so the U.S. has a chance to truly pull off the impossible, but as this is our first FIFA final, I'll definitely take South Africa if they can find a way through. Besides, I'd love to see Brazil and Spain square off.

The 'Modric is the Middle' Debate

For me a CM needs, first and foremost, the ability to quickly get on the ball and get rid of it. A left-sided player (at least the sort that Spurs tend to play), meanwhile, needs to be able to hold up the ball a bit and find seams in the defense either to run at or slip a pass into. Modric...

Spurs Kit World Cup - Away Edition (Group C)

I can't get past the (Chinese?) writing on the 08-09 kit. Had to go with the light blue.

    Spurs chase Swedish Stopper

Here in the states, the terms stopper and sweeper are used sometimes to refer to CBs. I've never heard an English commentator use either of the terms, though. It's a sad day when the Brits start borrowing American "soccer" lingo.

    Tottenham Earthquake

Indeed. The team's actually in the midst of a comeback to MLS this season. It died for a while, but California has good footie fans, so they brought it back.

    Who is to blame?

Thanks for the welcome. I'm loving the commentary here so far, although it's too bad I had to join up in times such as these.

    Who is to blame?

I went with Ramos. In my view, our trouble goes much deeper than the loss of Keane and Berba. It's the loss of players like Steed and Tainio that are really hurting us, because those were the players who made up the heart and soul of the squad (the guys who gave everything every match) and who...
