Good points. Definitely food for thought. Id say though for me it’s not really any different to a traditional full back. Sometimes coming infield in the build up going on the outside in the final third. How we built up with rose and Eriksen/Son coming inside(in different ways). Every...

I don’t know if Doku is more effective than Grealish for them. not convinced personally and City don’t really have an overlapping left back either. Udogie could definitely do that job for us(don’t think he’s actually been that effective coming inside in the final third. His biggest strength is...

    The Summer 2024 scouting thread

Dont think Son can play as a central lone forward or a go on the outside winger and can’t see him not being here or even not starting next season so I’m sure we’ll alter things a little. Don’t think it’s drastic change. Even now when son or even Werner play wide they stay wide for the first...

I might depend on Son. He’s not an out and out winger. So someone dropping in to the hole, holding it up, linking play could allow him to make those out to in runs. Think we’re missing that kind of player then a pure goal scorer. I can’t see Son not playing next year so we’re going to have to...

They’ll drop points in at least one of those games. Forest or Fulham away won’t be easy.

He’ll stay back more but he’ll end up just backing away if he can’t get tight on the first ball. Players that do that have a tendency to drag the whole team back with them.

I like the idea of this. Would make us alot stronger on set pieces as well

Personally I don’t mind full backs playing on the opposite sides. Think it opens up more up options. Not a fan of Davies receiving the ball standing assessing his options then passing backwards because the ball inside isn’t on as he hasn’t got a right foot. Might help with defending Saka too...

    New Tottenham 24-25 Kits

Never really care about the design but always prefer the kits with navy socks.

    Albert Gudmundsson

compilations can sometimes be misleading agree, but looks like he’s got good balance, strong and a burst to get by people. kind of why I’m keen on Eze as well with the ball retention/manipulation he brings

    Albert Gudmundsson

Haven’t seen him but like the sound of being good on the turn with great acceleration. Think we need a lot more of that in the squad. Even though we do have some pace in forward areas, body shape and first touch is more often square/backwards from all of them. Only Maddison really let’s it run...

    Eberechi Eze

Brothers a palace fan and he rates Eze more than Olise, although he like Olise too. From what I’ve seen I think Eze’s ball retention and dribbling ability is a level above personally. Just has to work a bit harder off the ball.

I’d go even further back. Since game week 1. And even then he was just okay if I’m honest.

VDV got to calm down as well. Rushing to everything at full pace. A lot of the time, as a defender holding your position and giving the forward a decision is all that’s needed. Same for the Forest goal. haven’t been very brave on the ball in defence either. Smashing the ball out for throw ins...

Fairly sure he didn’t give the ball away countless times. Just that high ball that he tried to control that he sort of stood on. That was it as far as I remember. Haven’t checked any stats but, be surprised if it’s more than two unforced turnovers. VDV sells himself and takes himself out of the...
