To be fair we would be absolutely insufferable if we won the league. Even my 90yr old american grandmother in-law knows we're 5 points off the top despite two barren transfer windows, injuries to key players and having to play at Wembley.
I agree with you - I hate it too and never leave early. But it isn't the tourists and casuals responsible for it. It's the regulars who do it. Tourists likely stay to lap up every moment of the atmosphere like I do when going to a game abroad with no work the day after.
I wasn't saying we should blame Levy either.
I'm just trying to point out this window shouldn't be put down as a win for BSoDL as I'm fully expecting a few posters to bang on about how "Levy was prepared to spend in January" when the summer turns into a s***show too.
Not a negative slant.
The story of the window is Levy was prepared to spend and Poch said no. Unless we know who he was prepared to spend on then how can we draw the conclusion "this one's on Poch".
How can anyone defend Levy unless they know the identity of the players Poch turned down?
I doubt Poch turned down any of the names we've been discussing as good additions.
I cannot think of a single reason why 19/20 would be the plan all along.
Last summer was surely the time right with the new stadium and retaining our class players (I'm not being sarcastic about the stadium as I trust we believed we'd be in for September).
For all the grief Tripps is getting I'm pretty sure nearly all his free kicks on the edge of the area end up in either a goal or a golden chance. He has an incredible conversion rate.
As for the pen, I would have chosen him from our starting XI to take it.
