Why do you think Poch did that?

I hope they get that game time. I actually liked what I saw from each of them today, including Wanyama's brief time. Both coming back from long-term injuries, not easy, especially being thrown in against a strong Liverpool team.

    Key word being "fit".

Match Threads Tottenham Hotspur vs Liverpool FC

I think the state of our CMs dictated Poch’s set up and approach. Fitness/game fitness, fatigue, form…read Winks, Wanyama, Dembele, Dier. Each fall in one or more of those problem categories right now. I agree a back three with Sanchez would have been better, but still that would have meant we...

Shady's a sound poster. I like his input and insights on the footballing front. This one was too funny though. Throwing shade at other posters for rightly claiming a penalty we should have had. I mean, at least take a moment to be sure.

    Team vs inter

Interesting idea, but he's never played as a CM for us iirc. Our CM options aren't looking good at present - fatigue, coming back from injuries, lack of match fitness, form and a lack of creativity. I'd go Winks to partner Victor in CM, Dembele as sub. Think Sanchez will get game time anyway...

Clear as day! We didn't deserve to get anything from our play today, but that was a stonewall pen.

What Our Opponents' Fans Are Saying About Us 18/19

You have to get with the Rawk program, mate. Fouls ain't fouls, penalties ain't penalties, referees ain't real referees, linesmen ain't real linesmen, goals ain't real goals, and scorelines are just pure bullshit...unless Liverpool win.

    Player watch: Danny Rose

And I think that's about fitness more than ability. Both players have suffered long-term injuries. Don't think there's much difference in level when both are at prime fitness. Mendy's younger, which helps him. It just remains to be seen whether Danny can sustain his fitness.

    Team v Liverpool

I agree. Think we'll go with a back three. We'll still have a challenge in CM though, and Dele, Eriksen and Moura will have plenty of work to do to support one of Dier/Dembele as Liverpool can quickly transition through central midfield into attacking positions. Both teams can hurt each other...

Player Watch Player Watch: Harry Kane

Kane is just a much better footballer all round in almost every respect. Also, I'm in the camp of those that believe something ain't right physically with Kane, and hasn't been for a while. That being said, and despite this, he's still way ahead of Lukaku.

    Match Ratings Ratings vs Watford

I'll have to check the stats, which will only tell part of the story. What I do know is that he gave us far more offensive threat going down the right than Davies did on the left. Trips tried to link up his play with Eriksen, Alli, Dembele et al, with the direct intention of putting himself in...

    Match Ratings Ratings vs Watford

I don't think Kane did ok at all. Sluggish and way off his game. Also slow to react to knock ons and balls won in the air by Lucas. It wasn't a predatory Kane out there today, anticipating and reading plays and moving accordingly. Agree he wasn't helped by lack of service, but I don't think...

Player Watch Player Watch - Lucas Moura

Don't understand the argument. Think you're both right. We are lucky we have both Moura and Son. But, we're just seeing and learning what Moura has in his locker, 'cause he's relatively new to the team. And it's also true that he gives us some qualities we've been missing. Looking forward to the...
