I met Joe once in his days as assistant manager at Wimbledon. We were at Club Med in the Algarve. They were on a mid-season break, we were on a company thing. Really nice fella. Modest, unassuming, great company and stood his round - no side to him.
He will be missed.
Saw him in the Plymouth cup match and he oozed class. Pedigree doesn't always out with footballers as mindset is so important but this guy seems to have it all.
