To call for Ange to go is madness but the worry is how to improve on this and recent performances. He is unwilling/unable to change tactics even if they are not working and it was this inflexibility that lost Jose/Conte their jobs. The fact the performance of the team seems to be declining as...
Poch has done an amazing job to get us to compete with the top teams in Europe. But he looks clueless at the moment. Either he goes and we bring in someone who we hope can keep us at that level or we slump back to mid table mediocrity, Poch leaves at the end of the season and we end up scrapping...
Agree that we shouldn't panic but it's worrying. Keepers can go downhill quickly. Hugo's composure and concentration are showing some serious cracks. Still a hell of a shot stopper but reactions are usually the last thing to go.
I think Krueger is in for a surprise. Coming from the Hockey world as he does, where players have very little power as individuals but a strong union, he is going to be in for a shock when he realises that the opposite is true in football. If they want to leave, they will.
I think it's a good move for Siggy. Although, if he consistently finds the net over the next 2 seasons (and I think, with regular football, he will), I expect to feel terrible when he gets a 25m transfer to either Chelsea/Liverpool and ends up as being the next Gerrard/Lampard: scoring for fun...
Couldn't agree more. I think the poor quality football and lack of cohesion within the team would have been giving Levy a cause for concern for a while now. Man City and Liverpool results would have compounded this as well as the fact that AVB refused to take responsibility by blaming the...
I think it's very simplistic to say that this is the reason we haven't had a long serving manager that has built a legacy. Look at the last 4 managers, all have been fired for a reason (whether that is a good or bad reason is up for debate but there were reasons never the less) I supported them...
I'm sure if we asked Barnet nicely, they'd give us Egdar Davids. He also doesn't mind making himself Captain and playing at Central Defence. So we can get rid of Dawson all together. Everybody wins!!!!! :)
And why did he not change anything before then? Naughton apparently wasn't 100% coming into the game. I can understand play Sandro if not fully fit, but is the difference in class between Naughton and Fryers that wide that you would risk an injured play (in an unnatural position)
Defence was...
No but surely he has to be held responsible for us holding a high line with the defence we had available to us then persisting with that when we went down to 10 men. Seems he has no clue on how to adapt or change the team when things are not working. At least Harry told them to run around a bit...
