    I’d take it with a pinch of salt being ‘The Daily Mail’. Although if that was the case, I’m sure we could give him a signing on fee that would allow us to reduce his wages in keeping with our pay structure. Especially with it being a free transfer.

    Surely if he left Inter due to their lack of money and having to sell key players, he’s not going to join Spurs on a shoestring budget? I appreciate this would go against how Levy and Tottenham operate, but he’d need some incentive if it’s true he’s close to becoming manager. Watch this space...
