What Our Opponents' Fans Are Saying About Us 23/24

In two games against us in the past six weeks, Brighton have had 3 times more penalties than we’ve had all season!

    Old Programmes

Old programmes from 1920s and earlier, appear for auction on on-line sites like Sportingold. I've bought some from them. They're very reliable but you do have to pay extra fees which adds to the cost. I'm not sure that anyone has replaced John Fennally as Spurs historian but I'll be interested...

    Unsung Tottenham hero players

Joe Kinnear broke his leg against Leeds in Jan 1969 and didn't return to the team until the following season, making only 10 appearances in 1969-70. In the last few years at the club, he and Ray Evans were both fighting for the right-back spot with Evans eventually becoming first choice.

What Our Opponents' Fans Are Saying About Us 23/24

My barber is a Man Utd fan. The last time I had my hair cut, he was certain that Kane was going to United and he was wondering if they should take Son as well. I'm getting my hair cut this week so it'll be interesting to see what he has to say now. COYS!

    Spurs Youth Thread 22/23

I wasn't at the game but read a report on the superhotspur.com blog. This is how the team lined up: "Spurs lined-up with Aaron Maguire in goal, while Max Robson, Alfie Dorrington, Charlie Sayers and Will Andiyapan started in defence. Captain Brooklyn Lyons-Foster and Harvey White started in...

    Spurs Youth Thread 22/23

Sancho played for Dortmund against Spurs at Wembley in the CL in 2019. Before hand all the press and media covered focused on him, the rising English star in Germany. He looked dangerous in the first half without creating anything but in teh second half, as I remember it, was anonymous with...

    Oldest Spurs Programme?

I have one or two home programmes for each season back to 1911-12. The oldest on is Spurs v Preston on 28th October 1911. You'll be pleased to know that Spurs won 6-2 with goals from Ernie Newman (3), Billy Minter and Bert Middlemiss (2)

Match Threads Sheffield United Vs Spurs

Non-League Wrexham caused Sheffield United more problems in the previous round than we did at any point in the match on Wednesday. I'd hoped that Wrexham would get through but I think we'd have lost there as well. A sad reflection on Tottenham Hotspur FC in 2022-23.

Match Threads Spurs Vs West Ham

Oliver was giving that explanation for not giving it but surely the VAR man should have told him to go to his screen as in my opinion, that is not the case. The player waved his arm around and moved his hand towards the ball and didn't fall to the ground.

From Winning Teams to Broken Dreams - a book by Dominic Ball on Football Academy system

This might be of interest to keen watchers of youth Academy football. Dominic Ball, is a former graduate of the Tottenham Academy, and is now at Ipswich Town, having moved from QPR last summer. Unfortunately, he's out for the remainder of the season due to an injury sustained in November, but...

    Spurs Youth Thread 22/23

Alex Inglethorps went to Liverpool and then became their Academy Director. It was John McDermott who went to the FA. Both were a huge loss to the Spurs Academy.
