Fair enough, ITK's (despite what most people think) don't have the right to be trusted without proof. It's up to itks to give consistently accurate info, not for readers to instantly believe!

Wow.

I think Naughton has been the victim of circumstances. If we pick him ahead of Hutton then we have no hope of attracting a decent bid for AH and recouping a decent proportion of that 9 mill we paid

I am one of King's biggest fans but I do honestly think that for his own sake he should call it a day at the end of the season. In fact I also dont think Woodgate will survive for too long either.

I dont think there is too much to worry about. In Dawson and Bassong we have two young defenders that are just at the right age to develop into very good centre halves. However, I do believer we need an experienced centre back to guide them along for at least a season or so. My suggestion is someone like Luis Perea of Atletico Madrid or Hyppia if he still has the legs.
If you're gonna go out for the world class centre half my reasonable suggestions would be Andrade or Van Buyten, I would even go for Boularouz if he could be convinced to come back to the EPL, (some will criticise for Boularouz but he was effectively a good centre back playing at fullback most of his time at Chelsea.)

In midfield, I can understand the need for a few additions, Sandro will need time to acclimatise whilst possibly an experienced DM would be needed to add that steel. I'd shout for Makelele, at PSG now and he is still head and shoulders better than the rest. I think he would be perfect for Spurs right now. I dont think we should be selling Jenas or Hudd because they are a part of our squad, and important parts too. Bentley can go as I dont think he adds much, with Krancjar, Modric, Gio and Lennon (as well as a number of promising youngsters) I dont think we'll be short on cover or competition.

Its unfortunate that Pav hasnt established himself, and I do believe he has the talent, but i dont think he has the mentality and selling would be the best option. Im not too keen on RVN, im not sure why, but i think someone a bit more skilful would suit our style. Adriano would be a dream, Nilmar would be more appropriate.
If we are going for someone more brute, my suggestion would be Gignac from France, he would need time to bed but he has all the qualities (Pace, raw power, shooting ability) to be Drogba natural heir as the Premierships beast.

that's my tuppence worth

I don't think it's any secret that Levy and Redknapp can't stand each other, but are able to have a working relationship.

I've read 'the Nugent-Naughton story' on a few boards like this, but mostly from Blades fans who are expecting Naughton back on loan in a few weeks time.

sorry people i have had a read through the thread but where on earth did this utter tripe come from ?

Anyone wondering where that noise is coming from would be advised to look over at the stables. It's from the horse's mouth.

Well, the stable boy's anyway.

Rumour is that Redknapp refuses to play him because Levy did a Nugent with both Sheff U RBs and he doesn't actually rate either Kyle.

What's a Nugent? Has Harry or one of his mates been making out that he never wanted him? He should just hold his hands up and admit he got one wrong.

ANy talk of either (or both) of the Kyle's not being wanted (or Levy doing a Nugent) etc is, quite frankly, BS.

It comes from some sad middle-class retard journo perception of footballing being that if you are not in the starting 11 there must be some kind of problem - even in a squad game; even with youth players; even with players out on loan:roll:

Forking retards:bang:

I wouldnt go as far as Levy and HR not getting on but last Jan, Levy was asked if HR was getting on his nerves yet, to which Levy response was a bit of a smirk....their relationship isnt sexual, its business...as long as H, succeeds in the role that he has been appointed to do, I dont think Levy will give two hoots about anything else....and whats that crap about the Kyles?
