Benoit Assou-Ekotto picks the dictaphone up off the table, holds it out in front of him like a microphone and, to the tune of the Pussycat Dolls' "Don't Cha", sings: "Don't you wish your left back was B-A-E."

He just get better and better

Couldn't love this guy any more.
A bright light at a dark time.

"I would be surprised but personally I don't care," he says. "If I am in then I won't be at the awards, I'll be at home on my sofa."

Didn't the 'Doncha' song originate from here?

I'm sure it was Dibby's

You have to love BAE. I remember him shouting "Come on you Spurs" at the end of a Talk Sport interview a few months back as well.

Didn't realize he had been with us so long as well.

So much of our play goes through Benni, has become a very important player for us, even if so called pundits don't seem to rate him.

Nice read,

Ekotto has grown on me more and more each season but I do still worry sometimes about him defensively.

I think he a a good player, who is good on the ball with good skill and always good going forward i really liked what he said and I totally agree with this:

As a professional footballer, you should be able to do more than just that. You should be able to have the mental capacity and skill to be able to stop, look, dribble and pass it rather than just kick it out.
"It is highly encouraged over here but it's something I've never been able to understand."

I know people moan about him doing little of bits of skills in dangerous areas but most of the times he pulls it off so I think it is a good thing.

Benoit is a quality player, I remember his first game at the lane in the Brown kit, he looked quality then, but he has grown into a very good and consistant player...

I think Benny is better then we all imagined he could be. He has just been quality. Had the odd bad game but that's only natural.

He is definitely in a cluster of 4 as the top left backs in the league along with Evra Cole and Enrique
