......backsides waiting to get a new manager our rivals are starting to improve their squads.

Chelsea have signed Hazard and look likely to add, Arse have Poldolski and look like getting Giroud and M'Villa and Newcastle have had bids for De Jong and the French right back Debuchy (who looks like a real talent).

Now we are manager less our biggest signings this season will be appointing him, retaining our players and maybe getting some last minute deals struck for players as the transfer window shuts again giving us a slow start to the season.

Are we going to get left behind by not having a man ready to takeover before Levy got rid of Harry?

They could also say we are close to getting a top manager and adding Vertonghen. Regardless of what others do, we are going to improve, I am pretty confident about that. I think those other sides should be fearing us much more than we fear them, in fact I am not convinced Podolski and Giroud are going to make up for Arsenal losing Van Persie. I don't really think Newcastle are all that close to those two players. And Chelsea have lost the only guy who could get them a goal when they shoved 10 players behind the ball. I can't wait to see the shock on Hazard's face when he realises his primary role is to be in the first half of a parked bus. Good luck to them all, they all need to improve to keep up with what we are about to do.

I think we just need to be patient

Our present squad is good enough to get somewhere in the top 6 next year, and no doubt we'll strengthen it by the end of the transfer window

PS I've heard from an ITK who's a friend that Walcott will be going to Chelsea for £17 million, so we'll see if that pans out

Does anyone else think Podolski will turn out just like Arshavin (coincidently he'll probably replace him too)?

I'm not fussed about the teams around us. The window is still to officially open and with the Euros on I expect a lot of transfers will get done after the Final anyway. I'm more concerned with what we do than our rivals. Still plenty of time left and we don't even know what deals we could be very close to completing either.

Why would having a manager change this ?

Well most players would be hesitant to sign for a club without a manager (unless they are mercenaries and the contract is massive) and I would think the managers input into who the club signs would be key.

Even though I do believe Vertonghen will still sign I bet this would have been done and dusted had we had a manager in place.

But we have always sat on our hands until the last minute manager or no manager, it' s what we do

Players don't care less who the manager is only what their agent can get them

I'm reasonably confident we're working away to get things done. Either way, there's absolutely nothing any of us lot can do about it, so let's enjoy the nice weather.

But it would be nice for a change if we had players signed for preseason training, US tour and the first few games of the season. Get them working with the rest of the squad so come the first game we are a cohesive team.

I think you're getting us mixed up with other teams. We are Tottenham and don't deal with the normal pre-season build up and transfers like everyone else.

It's all part of being a Spurs fan! (y)

Let's also remember that Levy has just buried his Mum and is (quite possibly) still dealing with grief. While I realise it's a shame about Harry and that other clubs are buying players while we have no manager at present - there are more important things in life. Let's also remember that Levy has always done right by this club in the past.
