Living in Crawley I sometimes see a couple of the players out and about. Saw Nicky Adams and Kyle McFadzean while at a Costa this afternoon.

Was wondering if any of you see any players around your areas regularly? I know many of them (well Crawley anyway) love a good coffee. Football League players always seem more likely!

I live in Derby and regularly see some of the players in my gym and they often train in a park near to me.

No idea why they don't just train at the training ground.

George Best was often found in restaurants around town. I never shared an establishment personally.

A few years back, I think just after we sold him Danny Murphy was in a pub a little drive out of town and had no qualms about giving the lass i was with the eye continuously while we sat and ate. She referred to him as that creepy bald guy, oblivious to who he was.

During the summer holidays I work as a beach boy at the Sheraton Hotel in Sopot, Poland. Last year the Irish national team stayed at our hotel during the EUROs so I had a chance to meet the players on a daily basis, although sadly I couldn't speak to them :(.

First of all, employees aren't allowed to distract the guests, second, I was too shy, . When I saw Robbie Keane I was quite amazed, one of my favorite Spurs players standing near me :) Shay Given was quite funny, trying to go incognito wearing a golf cap and shades, even if nobody in Poland (except the Irish fans) knew whom he was! :pompous: Apart from that his technique was pretty awesome (he was playing football with his child), even though he is a goalie. I've seen Oezil, Khedira, Torres and Fabio Capello as well. I have to admit that Fernando looked like a really down to earth guy, having good time with his family :). That was a good time at work for a football fan such as myself :).

My friend was a receptionist at a hotel where Crawley's loaned players stay, as well as where they stay before matchdays and heading off for away games. David Hunt offered her pizza, Claude Davis got her number while in the gym and she developed a crush on Charlie Wassmer. Through her, I managed to get family and friends tickets to one of the games last season. Sadly she no longer walks there. :(

Guy Butters is from my area, Hillingdon. My aunt knows his family well. Seen him loads of times. Steve Perryman used to have a couple of sports shops here as well so seen him around.

I used to spot Levy every day on the way to his office in the mornings, drove a black range rover; not sure if he still does.

Gareth Southgate is never seen around here, doubt he ever will again (unless Crawley get to Wembley or a top Prem side in a cup).

I've seen and met Pat Jennings a few times. He is home in NI a lot for various reasons and it is a fairly small place.

Always see Pat Jennings in Hertford two or three times a month.

Lickle Feo Wallnutt lives/lived a couple of miles from here - but that was last years news - Not sure now.

Keith Burtinshaw lived nr here when he was manager way back then.

Robbie Island goes to River Island - allegedly.

Teddy Sheringham has/had a house in Chingford, on the golf course. Used to bump into him now-and-again in the Natwest, in one of the curry houses or driving about. Not seen him for a few years though.

Unfortunately, I only see Sterling and Sturridge here. Played ball with Sterling a few weeks ago. He is a nice guy.

I have seen a few Stevenage players around town before. Last year was bowling next lane to Chris Day (ex-Spurs keeper) and Mark Roberts and had a good chat with them for what must have been the best part of half hour. Nice guys.

At uni I remember seeing a number of the Bristol Rovers squad on a night out once, lets just say it was a bit rowdy. Also met (was oblivious to who they were) a couple of Bristol City players in the casino. My flatmate took £200 off him at the poker table lol.
