not sure how they claim to know, but i would guess the same way he get some ITK on here

I would find it strange that they know what went on in the meeting if it was only Bale and AVB

Man love, it was man on man love, full embrace and baby oil.

Options:

1) we should be doing everything in our power to keep him for one more season.

2) if we concede to letting him go now; aggressively reinvest in the squad - and quickly, for obvious reasons.

3) sell him now, try to make moves over the next four weeks...and get nowhere due to ridiculous inflated prices, fucking about on deadline day to be left gobsmacked at being led down the garden path once again off the back of selling the best player we've had in years.

It just can't be option 3. I think we'd all go frigging bonkers if that happens.
Exactly, my worry is that because Bale and his people gave the impression that he was happy to stay another year, we may have been caught on the hop regarding targets.

Can Levy get over the fact that that we will be charged extra Bale tax by selling clubs? Will he be prepared to go the extra mile to move quickly?

Yep, would'nt be surprised if this latest from talk shite had been planned as early as Monday.

Yup, the anti-Spurs agenda is alive and well in the media.

How dare a team that is run properly as club mix it with the big spending clubs of ****s like Chelsea and ManC, how dare Spurs show the rest of the football world that if you run yourselves right, you can do it.

Bad bad Spurs, lets help RM take your best players.

I'd like to know what the spanish think of this florentino perez. the country has an economical crisis and this old sack of balls decides to spend 100m is a football player

we wouldn't be losing bale if it weren't for this lunatic

Getting a lot of flak for the di Maria/Townsend comment. I'm not saying he is a bad player, far from it. More, I'm not sure he would be massively effective in our side and I'd rather have his value in euros than take a chunk out of any Bale fee. It's not likely that AvB would set up with an out and out winger like him and, if he wanted to, Townsend is capable.

This shiite is getting really confusing. Why is TalkSports latest no quote rumour exclusive compared to all of the same claims over the past 10 days without quotes?

Think it's been mentioned in here before that even the RM fans aren't too happy at the prospect of spending £100 million on Bale, so god knows what the fans of other clubs over there are thinking, let alone those that don't like football.

Talk Sport are saying Bale and AVB had had a meeting today and that Bale has told AVB that he wants to leave

I believe this.

Think about it, first day back at training, would be a bit tired, of course he would want to leave

GB: C'mon Boss, been training hard all morning, can I go home please??

AVB: Of course you can leave Gazza, good work today. I want to see you bright & early tomorrow though/

GB: Of course Boss, Thank you and see you tomorrow

AVB: See you Tomorrow Gazza, and no speaking to any of those nasty Spanish ****s will you, they are full of shit.

That's what it all hinges on if he's sold - and its what makes me nervous. I just hope Levy has got something up his sleeve so to speak - in terms of how we tackle those issues should we end up selling.

I alluded to it in a post (think you stole it haha),

I think Bale is being very badly advised here (mainly by his agent but if reports are to be believed it beggars belief that his family are also advising this). Bale seems the kind of person who is easily swayed which in my opinion shows frailties and a weak mind and like you say a few bad games, fans will be on his case and he could destroy his career.

On the other hand he could go there and perform amazingly - he certainly has the ability.

Being made the most expensive player of all time, on a wage of £200K+ for five years at the biggest club in world football as he enters the prime of his career. MADNESS!

A plea to the season ticket holders.

can you all make sarcastic anti-RM banners for the first game if Bale is still there. Something that will get in Marca.

Maybe a list of all the Players Quotes. Maybe just "talk less, play more". "you're full of poop"

let the imagination roam, but a massive, "stfu" to RM please.

This is all just really quite disgraceful in so many ways. It goes to show just how pathetic the footballing world has become.

Essentially, Madrid have tapped Bale up, ok so there isn't rumours of secret meetings in cafes and things but it's the same as what Madrid do every transfer window. They just absolutely bombard whichever player they want with so many kiss ass stories, quotes of how great they would be at Madrid and start bouncing around figures of how much they could earn with them. It's not even just like it's the club's president either. Zidane, Ancelotti, Ramon, Cassilas. They all get involved and start talking about how they look forward to playing with whoever the target is. They have a newspaper in Marca that quite clearly doesn't care about its own reputation and instead just make up absolute lies in order to turn the players head.

If your Gareth Bale how could your head not be turned? It's nigh on impossible.

What astounds me even more are the likes of sky sports, the apparently independent and non biased sports reporting entity. They WANT Bale to leave, they want him to join Madrid. All of their reports are given in the tense that Bales already gone, they show highlights of his Spurs career and then say how well he will get on in Spain... Its ridiculous.

Madrid and the media just spend their summer belittling and patronising clubs like ours in order to get the player and story they want. No concern for the damage it does to football or the fact that it is now just a billionaires playground.

We could sign one of the world's best strikers in Roberto Soldado, an amazing signing for us, for anyone in fact. Yet, it will just be lost in the propaganda of Madrid, the story will be changed that we have signed Soldado with the money Madrid are about to give us.

Every year there are less real challengers to each league title, only one of two teams can win la liga. The premiership isn't much different. Every transfer window now is just a chance for lying, cheating, propaganda loving boys toys like Madrid to rip the heart out of the honest clubs and everyone else just gets to watch their own club stand still in the hope they might snatch the odd season in the champions league when someone else slips up. Its disgraceful it really is.

I used to watch nothing but sky sports...but has gone downhill in recent years quite dramatically. Was upbeat when setanta sports news cam on the scene....some decent competition...but that didnt last :(

I also have to think, would sky sports news be so keen on this story if they didnt have la primera coverage? obviously feel that needs a bit more of an audience and this is perfect advertising for free
