Just read another tweet that said he'd told hi Wales team mates that he won't be playing for Spurs again.
I want the debacle solved one way or another.

Former Real Madrid director of football Arrigo Sacchi believes Real Madrids move for Gareth Bale is a commercial stunt. #THFC
I think people are misunderstanding this, and coming to the conclusion that Madrid have no intention of signing GB ....all he's saying is that there is a commercial aspect to signing him, which is what their entire "Galacticos" policy has always been based upon.
Nothing new really.

Just to confirm Bale's non-involvement tonight from Spurs official facebook:

A few Spurs players will go head-to-head this evening in a night of international friendlies. Mousa Dembele and Nacer Chadli are up against France captain Hugo Lloris in a friendly in Brussels. Jermain Defoe and Kyle Walker are in the England squad for the fixture against Scotland, Paulinho is with Brazil for their clash with Switzerland, Gylfi's Iceland take on the Faroe Islands and Gareth Bale is with the Wales squad, but will play no part in their friendly against the Republic of Ireland. ‪#‎THFC‬

Can't believe they have a picture of Bale, with a caption underneath saying "Gareth Bale doesn't have a meeting with Daniel Levy planned for tomorrow."

Well thanks for that massive insight. Maybe they could also tell us what he isn't having for dinner this evening, or what channels he won't be watching.

If he wanted to stay he'd, at the very least, be trying his hardest to be fit for the season. However he wouldn't actually say he wanted to stay in case DL sells him for £100million so I do truly believe he'd like to go.
Guess he's just not burning any bridges.
I wish it was September 3rd

From marca...
Joining up with his national-team squad has been a release for the pacey forward, for whom life in North London has become a real ordeal. The Welshman is particularly cut up about the strain that is being placed on his previously excellent relationship with Spurs boss André Villas-Boas, who has continued to cling to the party line that Bale is injured, despite the widespread belief that this is a smokescreen.

Bale feels betrayed by Daniel Levy, who promised not to stand in the Welshman's way if a bigger club came in with a big-money offer. Real Madrid's bid certainly fits this bill, but the Tottenham chairman appears to have turned the wrangle into a matter of principle. His obsession with making Bale the most expensive player ever has led him to turn down approaches that everyone, from the player to his agent and Real Madrid, thought would be irresistible.

There's something about that last sentence that makes me wanna punch the air.
But then again it's Marca so,in all likelihood, complete fiction.

A couple of days ago one of the red top newsnow links went with the title 'Gareth Bale talks for the first time about his move to Real Madrid.

The quote in the article: 'I cant talk about it'

journalism seems a very easy profession to me.

Likewise. He wouldnt want to turn up at Madrid out of sorts and potentially form.

For 100m they arent going to be forgiving of a slow start.

Once you get a job somewhere it is, though depends on what part you want to go into. Wish it was just as easy to get into.

Well in that case if he's free I might invite him round for a cuppa.

Interesting tidbit from the Guardian football podcast. Raphael Honigstein (who's an excellent journo IMO) said in regards to Bale....

''I know that two weeks ago, Franco Baldini started making phone calls to agents saying 'we will probably have a lot of money to reinvest & who have you got & who can we get' etc''.

Could that not be the extra money Lewis is giving us? *clutches at very tiny straws*

Haha. We employed Baldini to cold call agents to see who they've got and whats available.

I think not.
