Home grown isn't to do with nationality it is the number of years spent in a nations accademy system - like siggy owing to his youth in reading. So Holtby doesn't qualify
Fair comment, but Toms played in squads that had Berba, Keane, Modders,VDV, Ledley!! Are we so much better off as a squad now? It's debatable, just a thought before we big ourselves up as usual.

I'd consider Hudd/Livermore/Parker to be replaced by Paulinho and Capoue. Assuming Carroll is loaned out too and we play 4-3-3, Sandro, Capoue, Dembele, Paulinho, Sig, Holtby provides quality in depth and is versatile enough that everyone should get enough game time to be relatively happy.
I certainly wouldn't complain if Eriksen was added to that too and he's probably a better first choice creator than any of the others, but we are getting greedy!

Regarding the Journalist I've criticised him wrongly in the past I have to admit. However this window his info has been bang on. He didn't comment infer Benteke was even remotely near done when almost every other ITK was suggesting it was. Also info on Hudd and Jake was spot on like you said. Fair play to him.
Let's just hope he's right on Bale too
Edit: The Journalist also mentioned we were interested in Eriksen 2 weeks ago or so; ties in with Ryan's info.
Without sounding like a suck up, I went on record earlier this window to say that the Journo is an ITK I have always listened to.
I have delievered a bit of ribbing in the past for the Farfan/Hunterlaar stuff but I would say they are the only blotch on a pretty good copy book. You have to remember he isn't a spurs ITK in the first instance but gets good info.

Livermore was offered a permanent move to Norwich. 4 Year deal, £14k pw. Wasn't interested. Now playing for Hull on loan and still earning £22k.

Wrong thread for it.
But those players were at different times. The only way we'll see is by going through the season. On paper we've got a great squad but who knows? Soldado and paulinho may turn out to be flops and carroll could turn out to be our star player. We'll see.
