Yep but I also think AVB did extremely well getting our record points total with two strikers who were basically crap last season. Any other year, with a striker scoring a medium to good number of goals and we would have got 3rd in the league. We now have Soldado and won't have to rely on Bale's screamers. :)

POTL 'can't believe this is happening' regarding Lamela
POTL has never said Bale is going

= I still cling to some hope Bale is staying as even POTL didn't think we would get Lamela if Bale stayed (is how I read it).

I refuse to get too excited until a signing is on the OS so I refuse to get too down about Bale until on the OS. Circumstantial evidence may point to Bale going but ITK is very mixed to put it lightly. No doubt there is interest and we have probably named a price but plenty of suggestion RM can't / won't meet it and also plenty suggesting we don't need the Bale money to do our business this window.

I think I am happy now however this pans out.

Willian & Lamela in and Bale stays, then fantastic.

But if Bale goes and we get all those plus Contrao, then still a great window for us.

I've never Lamela'd but on a big night when I was 17 I was passed out in the back of my mate's car and managed to complete the "Grand Slam". He could never get rid of the smell completely.

Daniel.... Well, Gareth has a very rare degenerative muscle disease and will be in a wheelchair within three months. So it was either sell him now for £100 million or else wait to the next transfer window were we would only have got £60 million for him from Liverpool.
