I don't know if I'm alone, but I've quite liked Chadli so far. He's not set the world alight, but he's been decent enough!

Chadli also plays a vital role of holding onto the ball and winning aerial battles in the final third.

He definitely played the majority of games for River in the number 10 role and next to no games for Roma in the hole due to Totti's immobility (but ridiculous vision) so he played RWF. The part you're correct on is that he did have games a LW/LWF in his early career.

This. Maybe AVB starts with Holtby in the middle though for this game. No real reason, maybe he just throws Eriksen straight in. No hanging about etc.

The main reason to like this is that the set up includes just one midfield anchor - if we are to ensure Soldado isn't isolated as he was in the derby, we need to let Eriksen and Paulinho join him. But I could imagine the same personnel but with Paulinho also told to hold position and that would be a shame.

But I disagree on Townsend and directness. We need it. In fact, I'd like to see Lamela on the left and Lennon on the right and really have a go at getting in behind Norwich. There should be plenty to aim for if the midfield joins Soldado in the box.

No he didn't, he played on the right under Enrique, Zeman moved him to No.10 role bcoz he felt he wasn't good enough defensively for a wide role plus he could hurt teams more, I've watched him playing at River & he played on the left

Dude you're wrong. Started out as a number 10, and was moved out wide at Roma because of Totti. He may have played the occasional game in other positions, but generally it was AMC then RWF.

AVB cant justify not playing Eriksen, Lamela and maybe even Holtby from the start. Three games with no goal from open play demands that he goes for it and starts with our most attacking/creative side.

If we draw a blank in this game then I sense a flurry of negative threads on here asking for AVB to go.

Dude I'm not, your forgetting that Osvaldo was dropped for a large part of last season & Totti played a false 9 in those games, I'll trust my own eyes he played in behind striker

It may seem a bit rough on Rose and Townsend but I feel AVB will have an hierarchy of players, that's what coaches tend to do. He will want to get Kaboul back in the starting side and will shift Vert like last season to LB. Townsend is good but his main rival won't even be Lennon this season it is Lamela and at WHL we will see an attacking bent. Our bench will always be strong and changes are available.
